The Barn

The Barn is a unique 4 - bedroom rustic conversion comprising of real wood floors, roof beams and exposed brickwork. Nestled in the picturesque Somerset levels with views of the Mendip Hills the Barn is an idyllic rural getaway. The Barn benefits from 4 main bedrooms, and can sleep up to 10 people. There is also a snug with a double sofa bed and open fireplace. An open plan living space with log burner, a large dining area , laundry room and a fully equipped kitchen. Ample seating The space The Barn is detached and forms part of only three other rural properties set in the countryside of Watchfield. It has its own private entrance, front and back and has private parking for 4 vehicles. Set over two floors the Barn can comfortably sleep 10. The main entrance/reception opens on to a large dining area which follows through to the main living space which has a wooden staircase giving access to first floor. The living space has ample comfortable seating, a Smart TV, log burner and a games/reading area. Towards the rear of the property there is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee machine. There is also a second living space, which we refer to as 'the snug'. The snug boasts an open fire, ground floor sofa bed and a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed. Please note this is accessed via some fairly steep, space saver stairs and may not be suitable for children or adults with mobility needs. Through the snug, there is an accessible bathroom/wet room and utility room with washer/dryer, ironing board and iron. The Barn offers free secure parking for up to 4 vehicles. You will have access to a fully enclosed courtyard, half laid to patio and half laid to stones, it is the perfect place to relax in the evening or host a summer BBQ. The Barn can serve as a perfect launchpad for exploring the many beautiful attractions Somerset has to offer .We are within easy driving distance to the beaches of Burnham on Sea, Weston Super Mare and Brean. Where there and many lush beaches and attractions, with something for everyone. It is within easy reach of the M5 motorway just over 1 mile away, a main line station less than 2 miles away and Bristol Airport 15 miles away. There is a host of good pubs and restaurants, the closest being within walking distance at Richies Cider, which also has a farm shop selling local produce and their award winning Cider and Apple juice. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property and private courtyard with seating and bbq area Other things to note The Barn is well situated in a quiet country lane . It is suited to host large groups of friends or generational families. It’s large space with ample comfortable rooms and seating allows you to stretch out and enjoy time indoors. A feature wooden staircase leads to the first floor bedrooms and bathrooms. There is also a downstairs bathroom for easy access. Cot and high chair are provided if needed. Pets are also welcome . Access to a private courtyard with seating and bbq area. This is fully enclosed for pet safety. Being rural you may meet some chickens and ducks in field situated behind The Barn. The Barn is also well equipped with all your basics for a comfortable stay including bathroom toiletries. Rich’s Cider Barn is a 10 min walk serving excellent food and selling local produce in its farm shop . We ask that all guests read our guest information booklet on arrival. There is one external security camera located at the front of the property. We do ask that guests adhere to check in and check out times. As it’s a large property housekeeping need that window to ensure standards are met. If a request for early check in is made we can only determine that on day of arrival.
