Description

Come join our artistic community / family in our peaceful, lush home in Kisaasi. Nestled in a green, safe, and walkable part of Kampala, this double bedroom in the two-bed home is the ultimate way to experience Uganda like a local. As a (next door) host house full of creatives - there is always something happening on our side, from garment production, to dance routines, listening sessions, and events. We love to share so join us if you are looking for a real home away from home! The space This bedroom has 2 queen double beds and sleeps 4 people. It is 1 out of 2 bedrooms in this two-room house, with a bathroom, living room, 2 patios and fully-stocked kitchen (shared). A cleaner comes several times a week and we are often around / easily accessible, to ensure any issues or questions are dealt with promptly. During your stay When guests stay with us, we welcome them into our family should they want, and offer a range of services to make them feel like they can experience Uganda, from the comfort of their home! Activities include but are not limited to Kampala tours, breakdancing classes, sewing classes, Luganda lessons, cooking sessions, or a Ugandan personal shopper experience (finding the ultimate clothes / shoes / gifts in a guided tour of one of the markets e.g. Owino). We offer a range of tours, both in the community and local area, or around Kampala. These tours are hands-on and get you directly in contact with Ugandan culture and our friendly people. Tours range from sustainable fashion, to art, food, history and more, and are the ultimate, relaxed and fun way to see the city. If touring with us isn't your thing, we have also made our own comprehensive map and list of locations you can visit alone to have the ultimate Kampala experience (e.g. sunsets, fashion, art, events, nightlife, shopping, relaxing, sports and eating). We are always available to answer your questions and ultimately just want to ease your stay, minimizing the amount of research you have to do before, and introducing you to new friends and spaces so that you have fun and feel at home in Kampala / UG. Other things to note Prime Location with Easy Access to Attractions Situated away from the traffic and noise, yet just a short boda-boda ride from the city's vibrant center, you'll find the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. Some of our favorite local attractions include: Bahá'í Temple: A 20-minute walk or a 5-minute boda ride away, offering serene green spaces and stunning architecture. Kabira Country Club: Enjoy luxury amenities such as a swimming pool, gym, sauna, and spa, just a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute boda ride from your doorstep. Ndere Cultural Centre: Immerse yourself in Ugandan culture with a 25-minute walk or an 8-minute boda ride to this vibrant cultural hub. Art Galleries and Cafés: Perfect for remote work or leisurely afternoons, explore Xenson Gallery and Nzani Creative Hub, only a 30-minute walk or a 10-minute boda ride away. Acacia Mall: A one-stop destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, including a cinema and a Carrefour supermarket.
