Offering a relaxing getaway in this luxurious relaxing village of Oakley The space Pond Cottage is located on the village green in the village of Oakley overlooking the duck pond. A country lane leads directly from Junction 7 on the M3 into the heart of the village. Pond Cottage faces South with its tended front garden - and provides private car parking 🅿️(with electric charging point) off the private drive leading around the pond. The green is surrounded by thatched cottages, old ewe hedges and a giant weeping willow overhanging the pond itself. Pond cottage has pride of place facing South without being overlooked. It is only two minutes walk down Oakley Lane to the excellent Barley Mow village pub 🍻 (food and drink) and a further two minutes to the local convenience stores including groceries 🥕🍅🥒, chemist, butcher, newsagent. Everything you could want for a few days stay. The cottage itself features on all the early post cards of the village and must be over 200 years old. On entering through the original slated porch you get the feeling that this is a real family home. 💕 At the side of the cottage is a small under cover entertainment area, protected by glass doors on cold days, where guests can sit and enjoy the garden. But it is the ‘out and about’ that provides so much more around Oakley itself. From the village green you can walk into the countryside on dedicated byways into the heart of rolling Hampshire country. For the more adventurous there is, only 3 miles away, a large entertainment complex which includes the Ifly indoor skydiving experience, an Aquadrome (a must for children), and local ‘Milestones” museum🖼️ experience together with a cinema complex 🎞️ and restaurants.🍴 Only a few miles away is the Bombay Gin Distillery. Downstairs, on entry, there is a large sitting room with comfy seating together and dining table for four. A fully equipped kitchen together with downstairs toilet and back door. There is a dedicated study with desk and large comfy sofa offering viewing on the 65 inch TV. The cottage has Netflix, and Amazon as well as terrestrial service. Kitchen🍴 A well equipped space with a full selection of utensils, pots, pans and all the appliances you will need during your stay to cook your meals. You will also find tea/coffee as well as other condiments throughout your stay. The dining table situated in the dining room accommodates 4 guests comfortably and can extend to 6 guests for your visitors. 🛏️On-suite Bedroom 1 This bedroom has been designed specifically to prove you comfort throughout your stay with additional mattress toppers on the king size bed. Linen and towels at hotel quality offering a luxurious touch.
