This newly built home is constructed with green and energy efficient materials in addition to reclaimed wood (cedar) from the original historic family homestead which is incorporated through out the house as an added homage to the original family home. The main house includes the Secured Garage, Lower Level Master Suite, (King Bed, double sinks, walk in closet, Soaking Tub and Shower) Laundry Room, Powder Room, Kitchen, Dining, Living and Family Playroom with ping pong table, rowing machine, games, TV, kitchenette (mini fridge, dining bar, microwave, coffee, popcorn maker) convertible sofa and additional Queen guest bedroom and bath suite, and can comfortably accommodate 5 adults or 2 couples and 2 children. However, for an *additional $95 dollars* a night, we can add the upstairs Master Bed/Bath suite (including his/hers sinks, walk-in closet, Rain Dome Double Shower) accommodating an additional couple which will allow up to 6-7 people for the entire house. In total there are 3 bedrooms potentially rentable, even though only 2 are listed on the main page. We hope to accommodate as many as you need, as the space is flexible, depending on your party size. If the 3rd bedroom is needed there will be the additional per night charge. It is a wonderful retreat for friends, couples or extended family to relax, play, recharge, nourish, and enjoy. You have your privacy, and we are only a phone call away and have a local host family nearby should you need local support. Please take care to recycle and store your trash per the instructions in your Welcome Manual that you will receive at the time of your booking. We are walking distance from a local store, tavern, Wayside Park, Sandy Ridge, Sandy River and Boulder Creek. Anything else you choose to do is very close by. Mountain biking, skiing, tennis, hiking, fishing are all minutes up the road. On rainy days, there is an indoor family room with ping pong table and games and art section for the kids. Or just sit by the copious amount of windows or in front of the fire to read a book and enjoy a cup of tea and watch the trees. We also have a restored family piano should you want to make your own music. If you want to get in your car, you will find plenty of restaurants within a 5 mile drive for brew pubs, pizza, burgers, sushi, beer, and the Resort at the Mountain for golf, tennis, restaurants and spa. Or enjoy the well stocked chefs kitchen to cook a meal at home. It truly is a peaceful escape from the city of Portland which is only 40 min away. No public transport is really available until you get to the Portland Area. Cars with good tread for winter or Trucks recommended during snow months. We believe even though you are in the relative wilderness, you should have access to excellent coffee, comfort and modern convenience (wifi/cellservice) but we are firm on NO SMOKING, no shoes in house, and all outdoor equipment should be kept in garage for safe keeping and protection of the soft hardwood floors. We only rent to people who have a minimum of two positive reviews. No food is permitted on the daybed in the stairwell as the fabric is sensitive to stains. We have security and motion sensor lights and cameras on the external perimeter of the house and property.
