Take a break and unwind at this peaceful mountainous shelter. The house is located in the village Koronida, 34km from the central town of Naxos. The closest beach is located 15' away at Apollonas village. There are mini markets, restaurants, traditional cafe places and a gas station in the area. Make sure to either have or arrange to have a vehicle in order to be able to reach the village from the port or the airport, since the bus itineraries are not often. The space The property is located in a mountainous village in the northern part of Naxos, Koronida. It's on the main road that passes through the village. It is newly built, has one bedroom, one bathroom and one single living room along with a fully equipped kitchen. It has a fireplace and a terrace with a table and chairs, where you can enjoy the mountain view. It is close to mini-markets and traditional cafes. It has a solar water heater and provides hot water. Due to the altitude at which the village is located, even in the summer months the temperatures are warm, but not as high as on the coast (that's why no air conditioning is provided, only a fan). Especially in the evening it is cool (maybe cold for some) so we recommend that you make sure you have some warmer clothes with you for these hours. Koronida (or Komiaki as the locals call it) is a mountain village and is 34 km from the island's Chora, about 45 minutes by car. In the village (as well as in the surrounding villages) there are traditional cafes, restaurants, bakeries, mini-markets, etc. The nearest beach is 12 km away in the village of Apollo, about 15 minutes by car. Apart from the view of nature and Cycladic architecture, in the area you can find ancient sights such as the Mycenaean Tomb and the Watermills of Komiaki, as well as the Kouros of Apollo. We place particular emphasis on having or renting a means of transport as although there are routes from the island's bus station, they are few and only in the morning hours. Regarding your transportation by bus, as far as we know there are some routes from the port, but they serve many villages until they reach ours and they are delayed a lot. For your convenience, it may be best to have your own means of transportation. Please note that due to the distance from the port, a larger car or scooter would be more suitable. You can search for rental offices on the internet and talk directly to them to serve you according to your needs.
