***Airbnb's GUEST FEES PAID FOR BY HOSTS!*** The Linhay is a historic barn that we've lovingly transformed into a luxurious hideaway, nestled behind a centuries old Devon dairy farmhouse. Tucked away at the end of a country lane, The Linhay is walking distance from Barnstaple town centre but surrounded by gorgeous rolling green fields accessible by a public footpath just behind the property. The expansive beach and surf of Saunton Sands is just a 22 minute drive away. The space Your private gated courtyard leads to a spacious patio and grilling area, with stairs up to your private deck. A wall of accordian doors opens to bring the outdoors in to the lounge and dining area, which are adorned with a curated collection of historic finds and modern luxuries, including a large television with streaming entertainment. A fully stocked kitchen includes a dishwasher so you can spend more time relaxing or enjoying the best of North Devon. The main bedroom is furnished with a King size bed with luxurious linens, soft throws, and a sparkling chandelier crowning the high vaulted ceiling. The double doors open to the deck, a perfect spot to catch the sun or enjoy your morning coffee. The 2nd bedroom can be arranged as a Super King bed or 2 single beds. This room boasts a bit of history, with an original exposed stone column that once supported the barn for this old dairy farm dating from the 1700s. The luxurious bathroom offers both a unique double shower and a soaking tub to enjoy after days out exploring. Your furry friend is welcome here, too, and our additional "dog shower" in the laundry room will take care of those sandy paws after a romp on Saunton Sands' dog friendly beach! Guest access The private gated courtyard, deck, and entire 2 bedroom Linhay are for your sole use, along with one allocated parking space on the spacious drive. The Linhay is attached to our historic farmhouse home but has its own separate entry door and gated private courtyard garden area. As frequent AirBnB guests ourselves, we understand how important it is to have privacy and rest on your holiday and we look forward to hosting you in our lovingly restored historic Linhay barn.
