The space In 2023/24, we converted our grandparents' house in Öhningen (Wangen district) from the early 1950s into a semi-detached house and completely renovated it with a lot of love for detail. It is located in an elevated hillside location in a quiet residential area with wonderful views of Lake Constance, the village and Switzerland opposite. A footpath leads to the public lake access after approx. 500 meters to the public lake access. The western semi-detached house is rented out, a modernly equipped, spacious apartment, where we have taken care to preserve style elements from the 1950s. In the newly converted attic with dormer and floor-to-ceiling windows, there are two bedrooms (double box-spring beds) and a spacious bathroom. The first floor has another bathroom, living and dining room with sofa bed (box spring quality) and a spacious kitchen with sitting area. The living and dining rooms have direct access to the balcony. The kitchen leads to the large terrace with a covered loggia (table for 10 people, grill and deck chairs), which invites you to move life outside. Guest access All areas of the apartment can be used and are available exclusively to our guests. The same applies to the outdoor areas (loggia and terrace). There is a separate house entrance. For loading and unloading, parking can be temporarily available right at your doorstep. The house is located in a traffic-calmed cul-de-sac. Other things to note About the vacation resort: Wangen is an idyllic village with old half-timbered houses, farms, sufficient infrastructure (food and good gastronomy), nestled between orchards and Untersee. The Wangener Bucht offers versatile leisure and water sports activities (boat and canoe rental, bike rental, camping site directly on the lake, restaurants). It is only 5 km to the Swiss border and the medieval town of Stein am Rhein. The Lake Constance cycle path leads directly through the village. Wangen is located on the popular Höri peninsula, whose forests and meadows are largely under nature or landscape protection. Numerous artists and writers have been and are attracted by the landscape and have given it the name "artist landscape." There are many ways to follow in their historical footsteps.
