Shearwater - creek side in Port Navas, Helford

Shearwater is a typically cute Cornish cottage with one of the best views around. If you like boats and water you'll love Shearwater, actually, you'll love Shearwater anyway. Situated a stone's throw from Port Navas creek it has its own mooring making it the perfect base for exploring the river. Either bring your kayaks with you, or, there are plenty of places to hire them locally. If you're not feeling adventurous just sit back, relax and watch the kingfisher on the river. The space Set in the heart of the picturesque village of Port Navas, Shearwater is your perfect home from home. You enter the property through the side stable door into the kitchen. Stocked with fridge/freezer, integrated electric, washing machine, slimline dishwasher and dining table to seat four. The sitting room has a wood burning stove to keep you warm and cosy whatever the weather. There is a double sofa and two chairs plus a TV and DVD player. This room enjoys the beautiful creek views. The double bedroom also enjoys the creek views and there is a useful hand basin, chest of drawers and plenty of space to hang clothes. The twin has two single beds. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC, basin and heated towel rail. There is parking outside for one medium sized car. Just outside the kitchen door there is a covered well, then 20 steps with hand rails leading up to the raised garden. A pretty little suntrap with one grassy level and another slightly higher that is paved with a bench and parasol. Shearwater comes with its own private mooring, a few steps down to Shearwater's quay just in front of the cottage. Make sure you check tide times for boat access. Guest access You will have access to the whole house, the garden, parking space and the private mooring. Other things to note One small dog is allowed to stay at Shearwater. There will be an additional £20 fee which will be added at the time of booking.
