The Goose Garden

Come and explore the other side of Acadia National Park. This serene one room getaway is located very close to many scenic views and numerous small trail heads by the Schoodic Peninsula including Tidal Falls Preserve (less than 2 miles away). Pick your own blueberries (when in season) and walk to the ocean . Located 40 minutes drive from Acadia National Park on MDI and 20 min drive to Schoodic Point. The space Please be advised that the owners live on the property in a separate home but the back yard is shared. We prioritize the privacy of our guests but please understand The Goose Garden Cottage is in close proximity to the owners home. Some of the scenic views listed in the photos are in the neighborhood but not directly on the property. The guest house is well insulated and we do have space heaters that keep it comfortable during colder days. There is also an air conditioner but please know that on extremely hot days (very unusual on the Maine Seacoast) the temperature control will not be perfect. Also important to know that the toilet is a composting toilet behind the main building in a separate structure. There is cold water for washing hands and an outdoor shower that has hot water. We recently upgraded to an on demand propane heater to ensure our guest have access to warm water even on cloudy days :) there is also a large sink for washing dishes etc that will have warm water on warm days only. The guest house does have a refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, coffee pot, kettle , and dishes available for your use. There is also a propane grill for you to use. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire property excluding the owners home. The door to the Goose Garden Cottage has a lock code on it which will be provided at the time of reservation.
