Beautiful 3½ bedroom apartment, located close to Montreux, Vevey and Lausanne. This peaceful place to stay offers a relaxing stay for the whole family with views of Lake Geneva and the mountains. The apartment, nestled in an idyllic setting, offers a comfortable, fully-equipped living space, as well as free parking. It is part of a house with 2 apartments, the other being occupied by the hosts. Your entrance is separate from the rest of the house. The space Quiet and bright, this accommodation consists of a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a living room with TV, two comfortable bedrooms (one with a large double bed and the other with 1 queen size bed and 1 single bed. A third bed (90 x 190) can be installed if necessary), a bathroom with shower and toilet, a separate toilet, a room equipped with a washing machine and a dryer, as well as a large covered terrace with table and chairs. All rooms offer views of the lake and the surrounding Alps, with direct access to the covered terrace equipped with garden furniture. A crib with sheets and high chair can be made available upon request. We would like to point out that we do not accept parties in this apartment, which is also non-smoking and where pets are not allowed. The apartment is perfect for 4 people, but can easily accommodate 5 people. Guest access Access is ideally by car, with close access to the highway, just 10 minutes from Vevey and 15 minutes from Montreux and 7 minutes from Châtel-St.Denis. If you prefer to use public transport, from Vevey, you can take the bus (line 216 or 217) and get off at the La Chaudette stop, a 15-minute walk from the apartment. If you take the funicular towards Mont-Pèlerin, the apartment is a 15-minute walk from the funicular arrival station. When the funicular arrives at Espace Cendrillon, you also have the option to rent electric bikes. Taxis are also available in front of Vevey train station, for a journey of around 10 minutes to the apartment. Access to the apartment is via an external staircase. Other things to note Information about the area: Jongny is a peaceful place between lake, vineyards, countryside and forest, close to all amenities and offering a rich variety of cultural, artistic and sporting activities in the ten neighboring municipalities of the Riviera. The Montreux-Vevey region, nicknamed the "Pearl of the Riviera", enjoys a pleasant climate thanks to its location on the shores of Lake Geneva and at the foot of the Alpine foothills. The diversity of excursions and sports offered, as well as the entertainment offered, allow everyone to spend a stay tailored to their desires. Numerous international events animate the region throughout the year, such as the Jazz Festival in July, theatrical performances and classical concerts in winter, as well as the Christmas Market and the Laughter Festival. Jongny is one of the 14 municipalities of Lavaux, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007, offering hikers magnificent landscapes and the opportunity to see deer in the surrounding forests. The restaurants of Jongny, Chardonne and Mont-Pèlerin will delight visitors with their local specialties. The municipality of Chardonne, neighboring Jongny, also offers many activities, such as discovering Lavaux on foot or by small train, walks in the forest or a fitness trail. The vineyard is at the heart of Chardonne's life, allowing winegrowers to produce quality wines with a typical terroir, which can be tasted every weekend at the Caveau des Vignerons. Other things to note: The apartment is conveniently located close to the charming town of Vevey, with its lake beaches and attractions such as the Chaplin's World Museum in Corsier, dedicated to Charlie Chaplin. Many hiking trails are possible around Jongny and Chardonne, as well as towards Granges. A few kilometers away are the city of Montreux with its famous Chillon Castle and festivals, the ski resort of Les Paccots and Rathvel, the beautiful city of Lausanne and its many museums, the charming village of Gruyères with its famous castle, the HR Giger Museum and the Maison Cailler cheese and chocolate factory, as well as the Swiss ski resorts of Villars-sur-Ollon, Les Diablerets – Glacier 3000 and the Portes du Soleil.
