Silverkammer · Design studio & rooms · ex factory
Description
A former historic factory where silver was worked, transformed into a space where time seems to stand still. Silverkammer is an urban wunderkammer — every object has a story, every corner has been thought out. A stone's throw from the Arno, far from the noise of mass tourism. Today, the complex is a gallery/design studio with accommodation, which includes charming studio rooms, each with a private bathroom, one of which is on two levels, furnished with designer and vintage pieces that create a unique environment. The space The Silverkammer complex is a former industrial building converted into a studio/gallery and accommodation, designed by Mirko Tattarini/MRK Studios. The project is based on the concept of reuse, waste reduction and adaptation of existing elements to new aesthetic and functional requirements, as well as incorporating a sustainable regeneration process that has made it possible to achieve the highest energy class. The furnishings include pieces signed by the artist, others recovered from various sources, and others that came directly from the previous industrial workshop. The complex includes a common courtyard with a glass-walled room and a roof terrace, ideal for work, events or simply leisure. Silverkammer is in a prime location, a stone's throw from a scenic area of the river, close to the historic centre and the stadium, making it a world apart in the heart of the city.
