Description

Away from the tourists yet close to the most beautiful, uncrowded beaches, breezy, safe, residential neighborhood. NO NIGHTLIFE in walking distance! Suitable for travelers seeking peace and nature. Car is recommended! Reliable 300 Mbps internet. The space Forget the South or West coast! Too crowded, noisy, dogs barking all night, too hot, eroding beaches and way too expensive tourist trap. This spacious house is located on the south-east part of the island known for its cooling, Atlantic breeze. It's near 7 most beautiful, uncrowded beaches. With its rugged, beautiful scenery the quiet and friendly Belair neighborhood is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the south and west coasts. This top floor apartment has two bedrooms, one bathroom and an open kitchen. It is furnished with an indonesian style furniture, has high ceilings and an amazing ocean view. There is a large partially covered patio equipped with an outdoor sofas, dining room table as well as lounge chairs. There is an option to use an extra bedroom on the bottom floor that is connected to this part of the house for an extra charge. LOCATION: The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and is a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach and a natural pool: Shark Hole (no sharks there, I promise) However the best beaches are 5-10 minutes by car. They include: - Bottom Bay Beach (our favorite!) - Shark Hole (beautiful natural pool -4 min walk) - Crane Beach (perfect for boogie boarding, life guard on duty) - Sam Lords Castle Beach (another pool at the far end, 20 min walk) - Harrismith Beach Plus a few more secret beaches, which we're happy to share with you! Crane Resort is 25 min walk or 5 min drive. There are restaurants as well as bars. Airport is 15 minute drive, Oistins Fish Market is 20 minutes drive. ACT LIKE A LOCAL: We have been coming to Barbados to many years now and are familiar with the best beaches and sight seeing. We have a map upon request, which highlights the best places to see. There is very well equipped Emerald City Supermarket is at Six Roads, 10 min drive. Guest access Access to a dishwasher, washing machine, boogie board, 2 yoga matts, Bose SoundTouch mp3 player, fast, reliable internet, AC, outdoor brick grill, outdoor hot & cold private shower, hair dryer, safety deposit box, ceiling fan. Smart TV Other things to note My favorite beaches:  Shark Hole (no sharks there, I promise), Bottom Bay and Crane are all in the walking distance, Crane beach is the best for boogie boarding (feel free to use mine) Miami & Dover Beach are on the south. The calmest sea, suitable for kids & elderly is on Carib (right next to St. Lawrence Gap), Carlise Bay (Bridgetown)and Batt's Rock (the other side of Bridgetown). West coast beaches are are more narrow (eroding) and also much more touristy. I highly recommend a day trip to Batsheba, Martin's Bay on the East coast. Animal Flower Cave and Little Bay on the north side of the island. Its absolutely beautiful. The sea is very rough there, but you can still take a swim at the small pools inside the cave and on the little beach protected by the reefs at Little Bay, so wear bathing suit everywhere. Leave early in the morning. It may take more then an hour when you hit the traffic. Bring your camera. If you like gardens, the Hunte's Garden is an absolute must. Bridgetown is not very nice city, there is really nothing pretty to look at. I would certainly avoid it at night. What I can recommend is a Catamaran cruise and the Mount Gay rum factory.
