Sheriff’s Tower Cottage (East)

This bright, charming cottage is tucked away on quiet Silver Street, just off the central Market Place and right beside the walls of Auckland Palace. Perfectly located to explore the history of Bishop Auckland. The Auckland Project's unique attractions and everything County Durham has to offer. The space From the front are views of the original Sheriff’s Tower, where the town’s taxes were once collected. The interior has been transformed into a colourful haven, with clean lines and modern living, and to the rear there is a private lawn and terrace, perfect for children and dogs, or for soaking up the evening sun. This is such a peaceful retreat and yet it is only moments from Auckland Palace and all the other unique attractions. Guest access We provide a meet and greet service for check in between 3pm and 6pm. Outside of these hours you will be given access instructions to the property via a key box. Other things to note 4 people (2 bedrooms) Meet and Greet Check-in 3pm-6pm / Check-out by 11am Dogs welcome for an additional charge of £25 per pet (up to 2) A £300.00 security deposit will be temporarily held on your credit card prior to check-in. This is not a charge but a pre-authorisation. The hold will be released after check-out, once we've confirmed that the property is in good condition.
