Guest access ✈️ Arrival made easy – and with a view! We recommend the trip to Funchal with the official AeroBus – fast, cheap & the perfect first impression of Madeira. The AeroBus starts directly at Madeira Airport (FNC) and runs approx. 45 minutes to Funchal, past villages, banana plantations & spectacular coastal views. In Funchal, we will meet you at an easy-to-find meeting point. No parking stress, no confusion – we will send you the timetable & stop in advance. 🙋 Prefer to be picked up at the airport? We offer direct terminal pick-up for €50 (subject to availability). Please inquire in advance. 🕒 Check-in: from 15:00 ⏰ Check-out: by 11:00 am (Earlier check-in or later check-out in consultation.) Other things to note We want your Madeira adventure to be easy, transparent, and stress-free. You will find the most important information for your stay here. 🚐 Kilometres • Unlimited mileage – explore the island without restrictions. ⛽ Fuel control • The vehicle is handed over with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. • If you can’t refuel due to an early flight, we will cover the cost for a €25 service fee plus the cost of fuel. 🛠️ Insurance & Liability • Our vehicles are fully insured. • Guests are responsible for handling the vehicle and camping equipment with care. Claims Settlement: • Flat tire → €150 flat rate • Glass damage (windows, stone chips, etc.) → €350 flat rate • Damage caused by careless driving or collisions → up to €350 per damaged part 🚗 Driving rules • Driving on unpaved roads, off-road routes, or very narrow mountain paths is not allowed. • Please always use normal public roads suitable for passenger cars. • When parking, please avoid very narrow parking spaces or stone walls to prevent scratches or damage. Note: In Madeira, there are many older mountain roads that are not regularly maintained. After storms or heavy rain, there may be rockfall. Please avoid such roads or drive on them at your own risk. 🧹 Cleaning • Please return the vehicle in a clean condition. • No food leftovers or heavy soiling in the car. • If an intensive clean is required → €50 cleaning fee. 👥 Driver • Experience with mountain roads is required. • Minimum age: 23 years. • Drivers under 23 years of age are allowed with a surcharge of €20/day (provided they have the necessary driving experience). We will verify this on site and reserve the right to refuse the rental if the requirements are not met. 🏕️ Overnight stays • Overnight stays are permitted only at official campsites (approximately 21 in Madeira). • Wild camping is not allowed. • We will provide a map showing all the campsites. 🚖 Handover & Return • Free handover in Funchal. • Airport delivery possible → €50. Many guests use the AeroBus from the airport to Funchal.
