Rejuvenate in the heart of a typical medieval Gascon village in our detached stone cottage for 2 people. Simple, rustic and comfortable, with a private swimming pool and a charming maintained garden. The space Just outside the charming circular village of Fourcès, you'll find our atypical cottage (aka tiny house ), renovated as holiday accommodation for 2 people. It's a tiny stone cottage of 40m2, laid out and equipped so that you'll find everything you need for a few days' rest. On the ground floor, you'll enjoy an indoor living area with radio, dining table, chairs and a kitchenette equipped for cooking. KITCHEN EQUIPMENT : -fridge -microwave -toaster -kettle -Italian coffee maker 3-burner electric hob -dishes and kitchen utensils -kitchen pre-stock: oil, salt, pepper, vinegar On the mezzanine is a library room with a 160cm double bed for 2 people, equipped with a fan for hot summer days and a shutter to darken the space. The bathroom with shower, washbasin and wc is on the ground floor. A sheltered lean-to of 20m2 in front of the entrance to the cottage and facing the swimming pool provides another shaded outdoor dining area with sink and electric griddle. The private garden of 600m2 with views over the surrounding countryside, surrounded by hedges but not fenced, is always well maintained and reserved solely for your personal enjoyment. A bean-shaped swimming pool measuring 8m x 4m (depth 1m to 1.60m) is also available with sun loungers and parasol. Open and maintained all year round, swimming is recommended as soon as the sun comes out. In the centre of Fourcès, village houses with private swimming pools are a rare commodity, and our cottage, small as it is, can boast its own for the comfort of our travellers! There's no TV or wifi here (the 4G network is very good). On the other hand, a library stocked with historical works, contemporary novels and classic literature (french books only) will give you enough to read for several months, or even several years. The cottage is located not far from the village tennis court, which has just been renovated and is still open (but not lit up at night). You can use it for free. The village of Fourcès is a very characteristic village, which everyone, locals and tourists alike, love to stroll through. Under the typical arcades of its central square, you'll find a bar-restaurant, a grocer's shop, art and craft galleries, a antique shop, a delicatessen with typical products, an Armagnac shop... Every Tuesday morning from June to September, there's also a small farmers' market, and the pizzaiolo comes every Wednesday to treat us to his pizzas. Guest access The full property is booked for our guests Other things to note Bedsheets and Bathtowels are provided (please bring your own pool towels). Final cleaning is also included. Nevertheless, the house will have to be returned in good general order including the kitchen cleaned up , the dish washer emty and all your garbage taken way with you.
