With the heart of downtown Ottawa only 30 minutes away and 20 minutes from Merrickville and Manotick, this retreat is perfect for travelers. Spend your time on the largest stretch of the Rideau River on a 70ft dock with a 16ft by 16ft landing to take in the gorgeous view. This home includes up to 10 parking spaces great for family and friends. The newly renovated kitchen includes top of the line Whirlpool appliances and Nespresso coffee machine. The open island has 4 spinning stools while the dining set seats 6. Please note a booster seat is available upon request. The bedrooms have been newly renovated and finished with black out blinds. Enjoy the outdoor fully furnished kitchen with sink and Napoleon BBQ. On the large deck overlooking the water, enjoy a high top 6 seater patio set placed under a covered pergola with the ability to have shade if needed while still taking in the gorgeous view. Enjoy your evenings watching the sunset by the firepit with seating and wood available on site. Sleeping arrangements are as follows; master bedroom has a queen bed (2) with an off-suite twin bed (1 adult or 2 children). The second bedroom has a double bed (2) and twin bed available. In the living room, the couch can comfortably sleep another 2 guests. Please note a pack and play available upon request. The dock is available in the summer, along with one kayak, stand up paddle board, and lifejackets for adults and children. Boat launch and dock available for use. For the winter months, the river is known for its ice fishing (equipment and license required) and snowmobiling. Indoor heated storage for up to 10 snowmobiles available. Starlink High speed internet available. Washer and dryer on site. While you are here say hello to the neighborhood goats Yankee and Doodle and their friends the chicks. Paddle across to hiking at Baxter's Conservation Area directly across the river, or drive to Ferguson Forest 10 minutes from the front door, or Limerick Forest only 20 minutes away, there are many options for active and adventurous guests. If you are a cyclist, there is the Cruise Route trail that follows the Rideau Canal system through lock stations from Kemptville and finishes in Merrickville.
