Welcome to “The Nest” - cozy artistic apartment 1 hour drive from Riga, 2 min walk from the beach, that can comfortably host up to 4 people. Enjoy sunset views from private balcony, walks through pine forest, BBQ area, smart TV, fast wi-fi, Albatross spa with pool and saunas (for a fee), free parking and contactless check-in. Seeking a peaceful getaway, a romantic retreat, or an adventure-filled vacation, that’s the place! The space "The Nest” is an artistic one-bedroom apartment in the newest building of the Albatross complex, that was recently updated (we added artistic mural for cool selfies + unique divider to make stay really comfortable for those who are not travelling alone). We enjoy spending time in Albatross ourselves and wanted to create space that will combine unique design, functionality and comfort. Out apartment will work perfectly for couples seeking a romantic escape from the city and families with kids eager for beach adventures or spa visits. Our apartment is a studio type apartment with big balcony, with divider that separates living zone from bedroom (you can also use curtains for extra separation). It has living room area, dining, kitchen, and bedroom, plus a large private balcony. ↦ Living room/dining area: relax on the comfy sofa (seats 2) and enjoy meals at the table with 2 chairs. You can also watch 55” smart TV from the couch or the bed) ↦ Fully equipped kitchen: prepare your favorite meals with ease! Our kitchen comes with all the essentials: cooking utensils, stove, microwave, oven, toaster, capsule coffee machine (with complimentary capsules to start your morning right), teapot (with a selection of teas), small refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, plates, glasses, silverware, and a delightful collection of coffee/tea mugs. Basic cooking supplies like salt, pepper, olive oil, also provided. ↦ New Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother - prepare capuccino, espresso or any other type pf coffee you enjoy to start your day with! ↦ Bedroom: unwind in the queen bed with a 160x200 cm mattress (it has 2 sides so if it’s too soft you there is an option to turn it over) The bed features a cozy topper, optional waterproof cover, and a choice of pillows. Nightstands with reading lamps and plenty of chargers are available on each side. We created the headboard ourselves and added fun colored LED lights controlled by a remote. ↦ Extra sleeping space: our sofa converts into a 120x200 cm bed, perfect for 1-2 children or an adult. We bought an additional thick gel topper to ensure it's super comfy, so you might forget you're sleeping on a couch! ↦ Bathroom: features a walk-in shower, LED-lit mirror, toilet, towels, hair dryer, and premium eco-friendly toiletries from the local brand Madara. You’ll also find a washing machine with supplies, a clothes drying rack, and an iron. ↦ Balcony: our favorite place in the apartment, and honestly the reason we chose it! The balcony offers unparalleled privacy—it's on the highest (3rd) floor and faces a quiet part of the complex. With a "closed" front part, you're shielded from prying eyes, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the serene views of the birch forest and stunning sunsets. Part of the balcony is covered, so you can still savor the fresh air even if the weather isn’t ideal. If you value privacy as much as we do, you’ll love this unique feature in the whole Albatross complex! FAMILY ORIENTED AMENETIES We’ve listened to our guests and added: - A portable crib with an extra mattress for comfort - Waterproof linen for both the crib and main bed - A high-quality high chair with 3 reclining positions for children from 0 to 3 years old - A silicone baby crockery set PET FRIENDLY We believe pets are part of the family, and we want you to bring your furry friends along on your vacation! As avid travelers with our labrador, we understand the importance of having your pet with you. There’s a small extra fee for pets to ensure the apartment is thoroughly cleaned afterward, respecting guests who may have allergies. Please let us know in advance which pet you are bringing. Remember that the Albatross complex has some rules: pets must not be left unattended, must be kept on a leash, and should not disturb other guests. We hope your pets enjoy their stay as much as you do! PARKING You’ll have a designated parking spot inside the secured area, free of charge. Just provide your car's license plate number before arrival for access. Electric car charging is available for an additional fee—contact us for details. It’s nestled in the forest near the sea, has it’s own SPA complex with 25-meter pool, children’s pool and gym (you can check rates online and book separately through Bookla app), and a restaurant, were you can eat delicious pizza (and don’t miss out on tiramusu) Other things to enjoy outside of apartment: ↦ There are lots of things for those who love to be active in the complex - beach volleyball, table tennis, basketball, basketball, a bike track and children’s playgrounds ↦ The entire area is green, pleasant, and perfect for leisurely walks ↦ Sea is just 2-3 minuted walk from the house, there you’ll find a sandy beach that stretches for several kilometers. Perfect for refreshing dips, sunbathing, or simply breathing in the fresh sea air. Walk a bit further, and you'll spot a variety of birds, including elegant swans

A delightful spot for a tasty meal and a touch of local culture. ↦ Kemeri Bog is about 30km away - there you can discover unique Latvian nature Guest access Guests can use all things they can see in the apartment + common areas outside (that includes basketball court, table tennis, bike track, beach volleyball court, etc) Other things to note This apartment is our second home that we are happy to share with peer vacationers who want to rest, relax and restore. Most of the things in the apartment - from nightstands to headboard and pictures - were handmade by my wife. We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits. NO SMOKING INSIDE Please refrain from smoking inside the home or on the balcony. Any smoking evidence will result in a fee for odor removal and furniture cleaning. Small part of the closet is not accesible for guests - it is a supply closet, you will see coded lock on it. My wife and I created this space with love and care, aiming to provide a special experience for our guests.
