Scott's Seaside Bungalow

Here’s your chance to experience, up close and personal, one of the few very private "on the bluff" properties in Westhaven/Trinidad. Guests agree that "stunning ocean views" are an understatement from our comfortable (and kinda funky) 4 bedroom (sleeps up to 10) 2 bathroom bungalow. This idyllic property offers both the opportunity to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Pacific and to easily access all the area's sights including our magnificent redwoods and expansive beaches. The space The Living Room has a l-shaped couch and two comfortable side chairs. Facing the couch is a large blue tooth TV screen. Bookcase contains a wide-variety of books and games. The dining tables seat 12 comfortably and with folding chairs can easily accommodate 16 adults. The large windows look out over the bluff and ocean below. The kitchen has a gas stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, k-cup coffee maker, coffee grinder and french press. There are enough glasses, plates and utensils to feed a crowd. A wide array of cooking pots and pans as well as microwave containers are provided. Other electric appliances include toaster, a crock pot, a rice cooker, a small george forman grill. The first bedroom has a queen bed and a large futon for sitting. There is a large closet, dresser and two tall cabinets to store your personal things during your stay. Sheets, pillows and blankets are provided to for the futon for sleeping. There are three steps down to the remaining bedrooms. The master bedroom is expansive and has large windows looking out onto the ocean. The king size bed is flanked by two pieces providing extra drawers and shelves. There is a full size dresser and two closets. Two comfortable chairs face the windows. In the corner is a TV cabinet and blue tooth screen. A sliding door allows easy access to the outside the yard and hot tub. The middle bedroom has an old fashion brass double bed and large dresser. A side chair and large stuffed pillow provides additional seating. The door to the garage is off this room and contain a washer and dryer for our guests' use. The end room is set up to be an office and/or a game room with a desk and a monitor. The shelves contain more books, games and some toys for the kids. Seating is provided by a day bed which is also a trundle bed which can be made into sleeping space for two. Bedding, pillows and comforters are provided. The two bathrooms each have a shower (note - no tub). Towels enough for all guests are provided. Both bathrooms have body wash, shampoo & conditioner and a hair dryer. There are two decks facing the ocean. On one is the new hot tub. On the deck directly off the house there is a u-shaped couch with enough room to easily seat 8 people. A fire pit sits in front of the couch. A large BBQ is available to use during our guests' visit. Adjacent to the deck is a dining table with four comfortable chairs. Additional seating is available on benches surrounding the deck. Recently added is a tall heat lamp to keep our guests comfortable after dark. Moonstone Beach is less than a one mile walk or drive on local streets. There is a "trail" nearby that is not always maintained. Taking it will drop you down to Scenic Drive which runs along the ocean's edge. Going south on Scenic will also take you to Moonstone Beach. Going north you will quickly arrive at Houda Point with steps down to the beach and Camel Rock. Further north is Luffenholtzz and Baker beaches. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire house and property. The house and property is also available for parties or special events. Please contact us with details on your proposed event to determine if we can accommodate you. Other things to note Please NO pets at this time. The bluff poses an high risk to children, pets and unaware adults. We gladly offer plug-ins to our guests with EV vehicles. Note: Westhaven is prone to power outages. We are in the process of evaluating and installing a generator. Until then, please know that we are immediately notified of a power outage and will do all we can to minimize impact on you and your enjoyment of our property.
