Description
Ulla and I welcome you to our Cedar Cabin, located on a local high spot providing views down Kootenay Lake and access to a public beach only a 5 minute walk away. This idyllic location provides a luxurious holiday home. There is a mezzanine with two twin beds and a TV with a wide range of channels available. The covered deck has a BBQ, and west of the cabin is a firepit and seats so weiner roasts and marshmallows can be on the menu. The space The Cedar Cabin has the bedroom, bathroom, the fully equiped kitchen and living room on the main floor. There is also access to the south facing deck which has a settee, a coffee table, a bistro table with two bar stools and a propane BBQ. Upstairs, on the mezzanine, there are two twin beds, a three-seater settee, other seating and a TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Roku, etc., so you can sign-in and continue watching your favourite shows. There is also a dedicated work station and chair. Wifi is strong, 24 Mbps up/down in clear and 18 up/down on VPN. Outdoors to the west there is a fire pit and outdoor seating. There is a grassed area below and in front of the deck where children can play. There is an emergency generator for use in the event of a mains power supply outage. For winter guests the roofs of the cabin and the opposite boat house are fitted with snow blocks, so your vehicle will not be dumped under snow sliding off the roofs. Morgan Drive is a public road and is regularly ploughed by the local highway's maintenance contractor. We keep the private drive to the Cedar Cabin accessible with our snow blower. Winter access is assured. Guest access Access is via the deck, on the south side, up five steps. This is the access that will normally be used on your arrival. Access to the cabin is also through the front, north side, door up two steps. Guests have the entire cabin and surrounding outdoors.
