Description

Lost River Solar Treehouse is a charming treehouse overlooking our property's swim pond fed by creek & spring. Enjoy the deck, grill, star gazing, & bird watching! Enjoy the pond to swim, kayak, raft, catch & release fish. Add this rustic treehouse at a discount to our main house, Lost River Solar, for a glamping adventure while others enjoy luxury! Treehouse has electricity, kitchenette, & bathroom. Stacked bunkbeds w/5 camp air mattress pads. Unplug, relax, and enjoy a truly unique experience! The space Lost River Solar Treehouse is the perfect adventure for families and adults. Please note it isn't childproof and may not be safe for very young children. You are responsible for your own safety. It is a rustic treehouse and more like "glamping". There will be insects and other wildlife in the woods. We will continue to update amenities as time allows. It DOES NOT not have WiFi or phone service, but we aim to get it down to the treehouse over the winter. Two walls of tripled stacked bunk beds with camping air mattress pads provided (Therm-a-rest style). Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and towels. The property is located about 3 miles from Lost River State Park. They have great hiking, horse trail rides, disc golf, pool, etc. Or venture about 10 minutes to enjoy amazing pizza at Lost + Found Pizza and Provisions. Please check out our main house, Lost River Solar, if you prefer a more luxury house experience. Or add them together at a discount. Please reach out so we can discuss any questions or details! Free cancellation if the weather is full rain. The joy is being outside! Guest access Treehouse overlooks our property's pond. The pond is 10' deep with fresh water cycling through. It has kid kayaks, canoe, inflated tubes, and a small beach area with fire ring and Adirondack chairs. There is an adjacent upper grass area for field games. Our main house, Lost River Solar, also shares the 36 acre property and is about 5-10 minute walk uphill out of sight that is rented out separately. Guests there also have access to the pond. Other things to note This property is very secluded on 36 private acres and down a private gravel lane shared with only a few neighbors with locked gate (bring flash light). Cell service is not available on property - it is spotty on the drive as you get closer to the property but is usually available on the high ridge of main road. Property is only 3 miles from Lost River State Park that has hiking trails, horses, pool, ranger station, etc. The main road is popular for cyclists too. Try the new amazing Pizza + Provisions just 7 miles east! The closest grocery store is in Moorefield about 25 minutes west. There is a small milk/gas shop about 15 minutes east. We recommend going to a grocery store before arriving. Farmers market or road side stands are great when in season. Please see our Guide Book under the Location section called "Where you'll be". *This property is very secluded in the mountains. There is no general cell service for about 20 minute drive except on Howards Lick Road high ridge by Shenandoah Mountain Road.
