Beautiful Village Farmhouse

The sunny terrace opens onto the well equipped kitchen/diner. The sitting room has comfortable sofas with books, games and maps. There is a spacious shower room, laundry and storage, with a separate toilet. Badminton racquets are kept here. Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms, one with a 4 poster bed, the 3rd bedroom has a single bed. There is a further bathroom. The terrace with many easy chairs is furnished for outdoor eating. The garden is hidden from the road, with a sheltered parking space The space You will be staying in a carefully restored old farmhouse. It retains many original features, yet is spacious and comfortable. Totally secluded, it faces due south overlooking lush meadows, trees and woodland. It is a haven for nature and wildlife, with deer, wild boar, green lizards and salamanders. Buzzards and many other bird species can be seen. This is charolais farming country and gentle cows graze on lush thick grass on adjoining fields, though not far away are the famous beaujolais vineyards. Guest access The house is totally private and part of what was originally an extensive farmstead. Adjoining it are a large barn and other areas though none of it is accessible to visitors. The terrace faces a small valley with a stream fed from a spring in the nearby woodland. These and the fields and woods are all part of the property and can be explored at will. You may find gentle cows grazing on the lush green grass and wondering through the flower filled meadows on the opposite hillside. Other things to note The house is secluded and well away from the village, with a large garden and flower beds. The entrance is through metal gates and there is a dedicated covered parking space. The terrace at the front of the house is accessed by a small flight of stone steps and there is a metre drop from the stone terrace to the ground. We do not recommend it for visitors with babies and toddlers as it is potentially unsafe Please note If you are looking for somewhere to stay near the annual VW Camper Van Festival in Cherizet at the end of August, please contact me direct as the house is available. The festival dates are blocked as unavailable as most visitors choose this house for its tranquility and seclusion!
