Games cottage & farm near Le Puy-en-Velay

A 20-minute walk from the center of Le Puy-en-Velay, Graine de Jeux is a farm-based “ludogîte” (board game lodge) designed for families, groups of friends, and board game enthusiasts. Private rooms, shared areas, a large games library, pets, a garden, a river, and on-site game tips: here, people come as much to sleep as to enjoy a genuine experience in a bucolic setting. The space The rental unit consists of a large bright living room surrounded by three bedrooms and a shower room. Renting a room on the estate gives unlimited access to our beautiful toy library. The Bernarde farm stands on a two hectare flowered plot bordered by a river where swimming is pleasant. It is also the home of many animals (cats, goats, pigs, chickens, etc.) in a peaceful setting. The games library: The heart of the place is the games library. You will have access to a wide selection of board games: family games, party games, children's games, cooperative games, strategy games, and more advanced games for experienced players. You can play on your own, but we are also available to advise you on a game suited to your group, your available time, or your level of interest. We can also explain the rules to you so you can get started quickly. Whether you're coming for an evening with friends, a weekend with family, or a quieter stay, the idea is simple: take the time to play together. We try to live in a "responsible" way, as best we can. That is to say that you will find a simple kitchen with the essentials for cooking (utensils, refrigerators, oven, stove, teapot, piston coffee maker, ...) but without superfluous (dishwasher, electronic coffee maker, robot, microwave, ...). You have access to a washing machine with a hanging rack but no dryer, and you will be strongly encouraged to use our compost. We are in a process of sharing according to the desires of our visitors. We are at your disposal to introduce you to games, to save you time in explanations of rules, or simply to advise you on the best activities in Haute-Loire. We can also make ourselves more discreet if you wish. Guest access The dog-friendly lodging operates on a simple principle: some areas are reserved for you, while others are shared with the local residents. Depending on your reservation, you will have one or more private bedrooms, as well as one or more bathrooms. You also have access to the communal areas: kitchen, living room, garden, and games library. These living spaces may be shared with us or with other guests, in the friendly spirit of a lively and welcoming home. However, we remain very flexible. If you’re coming with family or friends and would like more independence, we can rearrange the spaces so that you can enjoy a truly customized “home away from home” during your stay. Are there many of you? Depending on availability, we can also offer additional rooms in other outbuildings. The easiest way is to let us know your needs: we will accommodate them as much as possible.
