In this new detached chalet, you'll find relaxation and peace in the middle of the Hautes Vosges. The cosy equipped chalet is on the outskirts of the village of Cornimont, in the Xoulces valley. The 2 terraces offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Various walking routes start close to the chalet: in less than a minute, you're already in the forest! Mountain bike trails are also close to the chalet. For roadcyclists, there are many famous mountain passes such as Grand Ballon. The space Ground floor: From the entrance you enter the cosy L-shaped living room with sitting area, dining area and open kitchen with kitchen island/breakfast bar. The kitchen is equipped with appliances: ceramic hob, fridge with separate freezer compartment, combi microwave, dishwasher, filter coffee machine and electric kettle. The bathroom is also on the ground floor. It is equipped with a shower cubicle, sink, toilet and washing machine (drying rack and pegs are provided). The surface area of the ground floor is about 45 m². Upper floor: A fairly steep staircase, with a handrail on both sides, leads from the entrance space to the upper floor. A stair gate is available to safely close the stairs at the top for young children. There is no stair gate at the bottom of the stairs. Upstairs are a second toilet with washbasin and 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1: in this spacious bedroom there is a double bed (140 x 200 cm), a wardrobe with hanging space and a chest of drawers. Blackout curtains hang in front of the window and there are also shutters. Bedroom 2: in this cosy L-shaped bedroom there are 2 single beds under the sloping ceiling (1 bed 90 x 200 cm and 1 shorter bed 90 x 190 cm). There is a wardrobe with hanging area and drawer. Blackout curtains hang in front of the window and there are also shutters. The area of the upper floor is about 45 m². Garden: There is a spacious garden surrounding the chalet. Through the French doors from the living room, you enter the terrace with garden furniture at the front of the chalet facing east. Here there is a nice view of the mountains surrounding Col du Brabant. At the back of the chalet is a second terrace west-facing, also equipped with garden furniture, with views towards the village and the surrounding mountains. As the 2 terraces are situated on different sides of the house, there is always the possibility of seeking sun or shade. There is a shed where bicycles can be stored. A barbecue is available. On the private driveway there is enough space to park. For families with young children: adjacent to the garden is a slope screened by young conifers that have not yet grown very dense, however, this makes the garden unsuitable for small children to play alone! Guest access All spaces in the chalet and also the entire garden with 2 terraces are available to you alone, so there are no shared spaces inside and outside. Other things to note - You should do the final cleaning thoroughly yourself before your departure. This will be checked by our concierge. Optional: on request it is (usually) possible to have final cleaning done, extra cost €60.00. This should be communicated immediately when booking. - Bed, bath and kitchen linen are not available and you should bring your own. - Pets are not allowed. - Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes are not allowed in the chalet. - It is not allowed to stay in the chalet with more people than stated in the reservation. - The chalet is heated by electric heaters. These can be controlled separately in each room. There is also a pellet stove in the living room. Pellets are not present in the chalet. You can buy them yourself at the supermarket (Colruyt) or DIY store. - Steps are unavoidable: the bedrooms can be reached by stairs with a handrail on both sides. There is also a step at the front door and at the French doors. The chalet is therefore not suitable for people with walking difficulties and those in wheelchairs. - For families with young children: please note that there is a stair gate that can be placed at the top of the stairs leading to the 1st floor. However, there is no barrier at the bottom of the stairs! For families with young children: adjacent to the garden is a slope screened by young conifers that have not yet grown very dense, however, this makes the garden unsuitable for small children to play alone! - In winter: the driveway to the chalet (approx. 25 meters) is not cleared of snow. In case of snow, you can park along the road or you can clear a spot at the beginning of the driveway to park your car.
