Description
We’re located on the Grand Canal at the edge of one Dublin’s coolest neighbourhoods-Dublin 8/Rialto. A 5 minute stroll from the Luas (tram) which takes you into the heart of Dublin City. Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol, IMMA, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Christchurch and Temple Bar are all within walking distance (15-30 mins) and we have plenty of local and nearby bars and restaurants for food, drinks and fun. Guests have private living room and access to shared kitchen, garden and bathroom. The space Our home located in a quiet, long established community on the canal near the city. It’s a light and bright house that we think has a relaxed and welcoming vibe. We’ve travelled a lot and know what it’s like to stay in other people’s homes. The bedroom is very comfortable with light flooding through from the south facing window but you’ll have black-out curtains if you want to sleep in. The room has everything you might need to get a good rest after exploring the city or attending a gig or show. Our shared bathroom has a good shower and basic toiletries. It’s quite open downstairs but guests have their own private living-room to chill out, read, or watch a movie. Guests are welcome to use our kitchen, though it’s a small space and might need some coordination as we cook daily. Guests are also welcome to make tea/coffee and use our outdoor grill should the weather provide an opportunity for outdoor dining. We have a large south-facing garden that catches the sun and is a lovely place to relax with a coffee and a book. We’re located just a 5 minute walk to the tram that will take you to the main train station or city should you choose not to walk. There are also multiple bus options. Our preferred way of getting to the city is walking, you can walk most places of interest within 30 minutes. The local village Rialto has some great bars, cafes and restaurants and shops for any bits and pieces you might need. Guest access Guests have access to their private double bedroom, shared bathroom and guest living-room. Guests are welcome to use kitchen facilities for tea/coffee and cooking once coordinated. Guests are also welcome to use our garden. We also have free private parking. During your stay We’ll be accessible by phone/text during your stay. We both work weekdays but are unlikely to be too far away should you need anything. We’re happy to offer any advice or recommendations, alternatively you may wish to do your own thing and we’ll be totally fine with that too. Other things to note This is our home but we’ve travelled a lot and we know the importance of having somewhere safe, comfortable, welcoming and affordable to put your head down at night. We’re easy going and social people but we also know the value of peace and privacy when it’s needed. We’ll happily offer advice and recommendations if needed. You’re welcome to listen to our records, read our books and enjoy our space while staying with us. We’d like guests to feel as comfortable as we have in the best places we’ve bedded down while travelling or exploring a city.
