Welcome to The Surfhouse in Rockaway Beach! Located 5 walkable blocks from 7 miles of sand, downtown restaurants and shops, this 2,200 sq/ft home is perfect for your getaway to the beach. The Surfhouse had a complete renovation 2 years ago including new furnishings throughout, with a mid century aesthetic and a nod to the owner’s passion for surfing. Although new to Airbnb in 2024, we've already earned Superhost and Guest Favorite designations! Read our reviews! The space The bright entry welcomes you with a spot for your coats and shoes. An open concept living and dining area features wifi, a LG Smart TV, Bluetooth sound bar and a huge dining table. The large open kitchen has a skylight and is very well equipped with dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The fridge makes ice balls for cocktail hour and the oven can airfry your dinner while you prep it on quartz countertops. There’s a dishwasher, microwave, drip coffee maker, keurig, toaster oven, blender, small cuisinart, hand mixer and waffle iron. The old school swinging door leads to the laundry room with extra storage, new washer and dryer, extra fridge and the half bath. Open the door to the large carport, where there is a grill, picnic table and lounge chairs. On a sunny day the grass is a perfect spot to set up chairs and hang out. Down the hall you’ll sleep soundly in 3 bedrooms – 2 feature King beds and the third has a Queen. Each bedroom has a desk and large closet with mirrored doors. Off the hallway are 2 full bathrooms featuring the cool original tubs with rainfall shower heads. The Yellow bathroom has dual sinks and the Blue bath features the original sparkle countertop, blue sink and a washlet. The original front door provides a peep into the stairwell down to the basement which is a multi use area. There is a King bed tucked into an alcove and a Twin over small Full futon couch. A 6 person table awaits games and puzzles that are stored in the long bar cabinet, which is another work area. Get your gamble on with the fold out poker table and chips. A large sectional, Vizio TV with firestick, a vintage Xbox 360 with old school games and Rock Band provide a place for the kids to hang out and rock out (a nice division while the parents are upstairs with a cocktail!) Or if you are 4 couples traveling together, the basement serves as an extra large bedroom. In the garage you’ll have access to 2 wagons, some beach toys and camp chairs you can take to the beach or outside. A wiggle car, yard games, lots of balls, tennis, pickleball and badminton rackets, kites and some vintage golf clubs and baseball mitts/bats. There's also 3 adult bikes available. We have a selection of wetsuits you can borrow as well as boogie boards, a skim board and a foam surfboard. A beach blanket and beach towels are in the upstairs closet. The home has a large yard and out back you'll find a baseball field, playground and tennis court. Parking is available upstairs and downstairs, and there is street parking in front. Other things to note - Smartlock entry - No smoking inside of any kind; guests expected to clean up outside - No pets allowed - No events, parties, or large gatherings - Must be at least 25 years old to book - Quiet Hours: 10pm – 7am as per city ordinance. Please respect our neighbors. - No AC. Rarely needed on the Oregon Coast and the home stays quite cool. - Surf board and skim boards mounted on walls are decor only and not to be removed or used. Please note that a few punch list items remain to be completed on our remodel.
