OAK LODGE is a spacious countryside home in the Luxury Boltholes collection, in the village of Birdham, West Sussex, a short drive from West Wittering beach. Chichester, Goodwood and the South Downs National Park are nearby. Inside, there's an open-plan kitchen with a large island, a dining room seating 14, a cinema room and a cosy sitting room with a wood burner. Outside, the south-facing garden has a hot tub, and parking for up to 10 cars makes arrivals easy for larger groups. The space Oak Lodge sleeps 14 across eight luxurious bedrooms: all rooms are beautifully designed, with stylish finishes and sumptuous bed linen and towels. The super king bedroom is on the ground floor, with a wheel-in wet room and step-free access to the garden. The kitchen is the centre of the house. A large island runs through the middle of the room, and it's where most people end up for breakfast or a drink before dinner. There's also a cosy kitchen-snug, where you can curl up with a magazine or unwind in front of the TV. Across the hall, the dining room seats 14. The walls are hung with modern art and mirrors. The sitting room, known as the blue room, has a wood burner, a piano and a shelf of board games. For film nights, the cinema room also works as a den for children.
