Welcome to Casa Grande, This is our home in the center of Vila do Bispo, where we decided to live and simultaneously host travelers from all over the world! This is a simple double room with a bed, a closet and an armchair. The room has a window facing east, which gives beautiful light in the morning. The space A Casa Grande is a big old house, located in the center of Vila do Bispo, with around 120 years that was uninhabited for the last 40. A few years ago some major structural intervention was done, all the electrical installation was replaced and the bathrooms renovated. But an old house is an old house so you might feel that the floor is shaking and making noises when you walk but you can feel safe ;) The renovation project is still going on and if you choose to stay in our house for some time it's possible that you will notice some changes. We love living here and there are so many things that we still want to improve, however we feel that the space is cosy and ready to be shared. Having guests also has enabled us to keep with the renovation process and investing more in the house. Guest access We welcome everyone to explore and enjoy our house! As a guest you can chill or work in the big living room, use the kitchen to make some meal, explore our tiny wild garden and have a glass of wine while you watch the sunset on the terrace. The bathroom is shared by the other guests, but we try to keep it clean at all times. However, because this is also our home, there are a few private rooms (to make things easy those are clearly signed as private). During your stay At the moment there are four people living permanently in the house (José, Maria, and our two little daughters Graça(6) and Gloria(3)), one big dog, and a couple of tortoises. Gladly we have frequent visits from our friends and volunteers to help us on the renovation of the house. We are happy to meet new people and help you as much as we can, but we also respect your privacy as much as we like ours to be respected. So if you feel like relaxing and having some personal time that is fine too! We love sharing our home with our guests, so if you stay with us, we might invite you to join us for a vegetarian meal or glass of wine! Registration Details 50749/AL
