Our Panoramic Duplex is located in the famous colonial quarter of San Blas and has a spectacular view over the entire historical center of Cusco. The level of design and details put the apartment in a category of superior quality. The space Inspired by a modern and dynamic design our Panoramic Duplex is part of a beautiful colonial building that keeps inside original Inca walls (the walls go back to the Early Period of the Inca civilization, probably XIII century). The Inca walls create 2 inner patios. The living room, furnished around the wood-burning fireplace allows us to enter the contemporary world. This is clearly shown in the large kitchen with the breakfast tables and separate sink which make up their own little island. Next to the kitchen, a reading niche invites us onto the adjoining balcony. This faces the street and so provides an unforgettable view of Cusco’s historical centre. Surfaces, shelves and furniture ensure that there is enough room for books and other objects. On the mezzanine, made of bleached wood, there is a bedroom and a bathroom. A large and comfortable bed measuring 1.70x2 metres is the eye-catcher in the bedroom with its colourful headboard. IMPORTANT: Mattress is the highest quality: super-orthopaedic Latex Bamboo (with Memory Foam pillows). But above all it is the 2 large, fixed doors which excite interest and lead to the big balcony (more than 5 metres long), which in turn gives a free view of the inner courtyards and the imposing Inca walls which surround them. The balcony is ideal for making the most of the sun loungers and enjoying the morning sun, reading, or, thanks to the folding table, for surfing the internet on your own laptop and working in a relaxed atmosphere. To understand the quality of the place, we recommend looking at the photos ... here we can complete a few points: HEATING: it is a very important point because in Cusco the cold can be strong. The apartment has an efficient heating system that allows to have an ideal temperature. WATER: this is another very sensitive point in Cusco because the distribution of water in the city is intermittent: the property has a water storage system (and pressure control), so always has water in the apartment and with due pressure. A water-heater is responsible for heating the water, so both in the bathroom and in the kitchen there is hot water. WI-FI: available and included in the rate CLEANING: we deliver the apartment cleaned. If you stay more days and want to have an extra cleaning of the apartment, just ask and schedule the extra cleaning with the person in charge. Extra cleaning costs US $ 15.00 and includes the change of sheets and towels. KITCHEN: the kitchen is complete with everything: 4-burner stove for cooking, refrigerator, microwave oven, blender, coffee maker, toaster and a set of pots and utensils that allow you to cook whatever you want. BED: we took seriously in consideration the quality of the sleep. The mattress is a extra-large size (1.70 x 2.00 meters, bigger than a Queen size mattress) super-orthopaedic and the pillows are Memory Foam quality. AND... sheets and towels are part of the normal equipment of the apartment. Since the apartment has already a heating system working (included in the rate), the wood for the fireplace is charged as an extra service. It is possible to add up to 02 extra beds (not included in the rate). IMPORTANT: Our Panoramic Duplex is located in a quiet pedestrian street that enjoys a special tranquillity to our place. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW that our building is not reachable by car and that is necessary to walk a flight of stais before getting to the place. Our service is also available for the purchase of train & bus tickets. THE COLONIAL QUARTER OF SAN BLAS At the moment, the San Blas district is known as being the tourist area of Cusco as such. Comparative to the historical centre that borders it, San Blas is on a hill, which offers gorgeous views over the ancient Inca capital. It unfolds around a beautiful colonial church, whose renowned pulpit, made of hand-carved cedar wood, is regarded as one of Peru’s most important works of artistic carpentry, if not of the entire continent. San Blas is the craftsman and artistic quarter in which you can find exhibitions by young talent, who exist next to the big names that are locally famous. In the surrounding area you can find a large number of hotels and hostels as well as restaurants, cafés and pubs, and in such density that San Blas has been able to develop its own nightlife. The quarter preserves the warmth of the narrow, cobbled lanes, the houses roofed with typical stones from Cusco and their antique gates, Spanish atriums and pretty balconies. Nowadays the district of San Blas is a tourist area par excellence. In an elevated position with respect to the adjacent historic centre, San Blas enjoys a beautiful view over the Inca capital. It develops around a beautiful colonial temple, whose famous pulpit, hand-carved in cedar wood, is considered today one of the most important works of artistic carpentry in Peru and possibly in the whole continent. This is the neighbourhood of artisans and artists. A wide range of accommodation for tourists can be found in the area, as well as restaurants, cafés, pubs, in such a concentration that it gives San Blas a nightlife of its own. The neighbourhood preserves the warmth of its narrow, cobbled streets, with its buildings covered in Cusquenian tiles, its old doors, its patios and its beautiful balconies.
