Welcome to Casa Belan! Casa Belan is an eco-farm and glamping accommodation in Sober, the heart of the beautiful Ribeira Sacra in Galicia, north-west Spain. Our small-scale glamping offers an unique camping experience for all ages amid our ecological food production, vineyard and fruit orchard. Your glamping tent is fully furnished and fully equipped. Here you are surrounded by the beautiful nature and landscape of the Ribeira Sacra. The space Our fully equipped glamping tents feature comfortable beds, bed linen and towels, a dining table and chairs, a small refrigerator and kitchenware, mosquito screens and a private terrace. Bathroom: Each tent has access to its own full private bathroom which is based in a sanitary unit on the campsite. This Glaming tent is very suitable for families or two couples and offers enough space for up to 4 adults with single or double beds. The tent has 2 separate sleeping cabins that can also be divided. This also makes it an ideal space for families with older children. A baby cot is possible on request. The tent of natural cotton is designed to be comfortable and cozy in all weather conditions; nice and airy during the long hot summer days and pleasantly warm during the night. The common outdoor kitchen offers a wonderful place to cook, barbecue, have a drink, eat together and meet others while enjoying the beautiful scenery. On request and for an extra fee, we can offer you a delicious breakfast with local products. From the deck of your terras you can enjoy the incredible panorama views over the hilly landscape of the Ribeira Sacra, eat fresh produce from our garden or enjoy one of the many local wines from this area. Just outside the village of Sober and surrounded by charming hamlets and the beautiful nature and landscapes of the Ribeira Sacra, Casa Belan is a great starting point for discovering the area and visiting the many viewpoints and tourist attractions of the region. Guest access We have 3 Bell tents of various sizes and offer space for couples, families, friends and small groups. At Casa Belan we make your stay most comfortable; - At our outdoor kitchen and barbecue area you can prepare your own meals which you can enjoy on the common terrace or your private terrace of your tent. - Our sanitary unit with private bathrooms are equipped with a toilet, shower, sink and mirror. - The firepit is the best place to enjoy the long summer evenings and bright starry nights - Small playground area and games for children - Shady snugs to rewind yourself, read a book or enjoy a traditional siesta You can also choose to enjoy a lovely afternoon at the municipal swimming pool of Sober, which is less than one kilometer away and opened in the months of July and August. We offer guests fresh and local products, including homemade wine, preserves and fresh produce from the garden. You are always welcome to have a look or give a helping hand in the garden. Planting, harvesting, watering, weeding are all daily activities on the farm and you can join without having any experience. In return you can learn more about our ecological farm and you may take some fresh produce for your meal directly from the garden yourself. This is also a very fun and adventurious activity for and with children. Other things to note We request your passport details before arrival. Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the accommodation and common area. Outside smoking should be very careful because of the fire risk. Always be very careful with open fire and only use the designated area (firepit and barbecue) in consultation with the host. It is forbidden to have more guests than are registered. Extra persons must always be declared to the host. In the area: Casa Belan is just steps away from the village of Sober. The village center offers several bars and restaurants, two small supermarkets and the tourist information center. There is a local market every two weeks and there are several village festivals and celebrations all year round. The municipal swimming pool of Sober is less than one kilometer away (opened in the months of July and August). Rio Sil, Cabe & Rio Miño The beautiful canyons of Rio Sil & Rio Miño with their amazing viewpoints are both at 10-15 minutes drive. There are several places to rent kayaks or canoes, or you can hop on a boat cruise to admire the massive canyon walls and the traditional vineyards on the steep slopes from the water. Monforte de Lemos is less than 15 minutes drive from Casa Belan. This charming town is steeped in history and culture and is famous for its medieval castle dominating the town’s skyline. Here you can find many local restaurants and bars, boutique shops and experience the real authentic life and gastronomy of this part of Galicia.
