Stay in this wonderful, warm, historic property dating back to the 18th Century, you cannot get closer to the soul of Bishop Auckland and the Market Place. Perfectly located to explore the history of Bishop Auckland, the unique attractions of The Auckland Project and everything County Durham has to offer. The space Your charming front garden nestles right beside the gates of Auckland Palace and the cottage itself extends either side of the original palace walls, so that the dining room looks over the ancient cobbles of Market Place, while your view from the sitting room encompasses the Palace grounds and the Faith Museum. Recently refurbished, this unique house boasts rich colours, luxurious trappings and an expert blend of ancient and modern. All guests benefit from an Unlimited Pass (worth up to £30 per guest), 10% discount in The Auckland Project’s restaurants, after-hours access to the Walled Garden in the grounds of Auckland Palace until 10pm, and free private off-street parking. Currently, our property does not offer fully accessible rooms for guests with mobility impairments. Guest access We provide a meet and greet service for check in between 4pm and 7pm. Outside of these hours you will be given access instructions to the property via a key box. Other things to note £300 per night (minimum stay 2 nights) 6 people (3 bedrooms) Meet and Greet Check-in 4pm-7pm / Check-out by 11am Dogs welcome for an additional charge of £25 per pet (up to 2) Full payment and a £250 damage deposit is required in advance at time of booking, the deposit will be returned to you after the stay as long as there are no issues with the property.
