CURRENTLY AWAITING GOLD COAST CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL FOR SHORT STAYS FARM STAY- COWS 🐄 HORSES 🐴 CHICKENS 🐓 FARM DOGS 🐶 Hillview Stables - circa 1887 Hang up your Hat…. Kick off your Boots! BARN DOORS ARE OPEN FOR YOUR ARRIVAL The space Located in the magnificent Currumbin Valley, tucked away in a remote corner of an historical dairy farm overlooking a majestic mountain range, our family warmly welcome you to our newly restored “Hillview Stables” THE STABLES Every old barn has the odd cobweb, a few resident mice, musty leather saddles and old cowboy boots at the door- Hang up your Hat - This is Hillview Stables. The big sister of the ever popular, “Hillview Dairy” - much older and wiser in our family of Hillview. With its own private entrance, the Stables is the latest addition to our unique collection of luxury abodes. Following the footsteps of the famous Hillview Dairy, The Stables are a considered restoration of the original “Coach House”- Horse Stables of 130 years ago. Restored with a strong nod to its original design and a hint of Yellowstone- American Wild West Barn. The incredible exposed beams and Stable doors have been expertly repurposed utilising Hillview’s original entrance -Currumbin Creeks “Boyd’s Bridge”. The bridge served its purpose many years ago as the only entrance to the historically significant Hillview Farm. Overlooking the majestic escarpment of Mt Tallebudgera, The Cougals and Springbrook National Park -World Heritage listed, the beach is also at your doorstep. Currumbin Beach. Just a Hop,Skip and a Jump …. Two seperate barns are connected by a central covered entertaining area. BARN ONE- THE COOK HOUSE AND LOUNGE BARN- The Ranch style expansive open plan kitchen with workbench accommodates seating for a dozen hungry horsemen. Well appointed with generous utensils, retro Smeg appliances and all the little extras you need for seamless entertaining. The adjoining smokey leather lounges overlook paddocks and mountains with a “whip crackling” super cosy 4 sided glass fireplace. Relax with a quiet cowboy tequila and try to pretend you’re “not” in Wyoming. BEDROOM ONE- King bed plus small sofa bed. BEDROOM TWO- King bed plus 4 “Cow kid” bunk beds BEDROOM THREE- King bed plus small sofa bed. The Stables accommodates 10 guests comfortably. (Plus 2 kids on sofa beds) WESTERN COWBOY BATHHOUSE - An indulgent custom stone bath, barn doors and private mountain vistas set in an expansive rustic style bathroom completes the landscape. (There are laundry facilities also in the bathroom) An outdoor rustic bath perfect for ice bathing is also set for your use. OUTDOORS - Dip into the deep fully tiled luxury Magnesium Pool. Relax by the outdoor fire pit under the stars. Indulge in wood fired style pizza with the gas Cozze Pizza oven or Cook up a wrangler BBQ with the Ziegler & Brown BBQ. Try not to be competitive on the manicured Bocce court. And… “non-negotiable” - feed our resident Hillview Horses carrots at sunset. BOYDS BRIDGE HISTORY “The Bridge” - Boyd’s bridge was the original and only entrance /exit to the property. Built by John Boyd in 1883. The bridge was the only connection to the world for John and Adessa Boyd. Once over the bridge the early settlers navigated 13 creek crossings to deliver the milk urns into town. In 2020 a local council decision was made to destroy and replace the bridge. After significant negotiation we were able to save the original structure for Hillview Stables. Once demolished the old hardwood to formed framework for the stables. Axe hacked hardwood beams have been repurposed as part of the trusses. So the historical bridge remains a special part of the fabric that is Hillview. Salvaged materials , ingenuity, plenty of cowboy blood, sweat and tears combined with an historical bridge … and over 130 years of history … all form the essential ingredients of the stables at Hillview. Hang up your hat , toss off your boots at the barn doors and step inside. This is Hillview stables - Take the reins and enjoy the magic of an old country Barn just 12 minutes from the Beach and 5 minutes to Waterfalls. STR APPROVAL PCA/2023/228 Guest access Hillview Stables is located on a Horse and Cattle property. The Stables area is fenced for your safety.
