Historic Dock Street Suite

Stay in an upscale, private 3-room suite in our restored 1785 country Georgian right on the harbour in Shelburne’s heritage district. Here on Dock Street, you’ll be only a stroll away from everything, including fine dining, Shelburne’s Museums, Osprey Arts Cntr, the Yacht Club, shops, and more. The space Our restored 1785 Country Georgian sits at the end of picturesque Dock Street and features a seaside vibe with its cedar shingled exterior and Loyalist era fence covered in lichen. We have a genuine Shelburne Dory (at 3/4 scale) built as a flower bed by recently retired Master Dorybuilder, Milford Buchanan. Guests enter from the rear shaded patio into a shared downstairs hall filled with art, and proceed upstairs via the original tiger maple central stairs to their upstairs suite. The suite includes three rooms - a spacious water facing front bedroom, a back living/dining room complete with mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, dishes, utensils, and electric kettle, and a private bathroom. The whole house is furnished with a tasteful, casual mixture of genuine mid century Danish Modern furniture, period antiques, and modern decor. The entire art filled upstairs, including the hall between your three rooms, is private for you alone. Guest access Your upstairs suite is for you alone, but the downstairs is largely our private living space. The downstairs central hall is neutral territory where we all may run into one another - but the downstairs living room, dining room, and kitchen are private.
