2 studios -sea views/heated indoor pool/steam room

The chance to book both of our studios jointly to share your holiday with family (kids aged over 10) or friends whilst still having your own space. Havens 1 and 2 both sleep up to 2 guests each, with the option to have a 6 foot wide super king bed or 2 x 3 foot wide single beds. Each studio has its own front door, shower room and kitchen and it is possible to have the interconnecting door open or closed as per your preference. Haven 2 has a direct access door to the indoor pool and steam room. The space This listing comprises two studios, Haven 1 and Haven 2 which are on the ground floor of our home - we live upstairs. Each Haven has it's own facilities and own separate front doors. They are internally separated by a connecting door which can be left open or locked as you wish. HAVEN 1 - The separate shower room is spacious and features a large walk in shower with a fold down seat and hand rail; WC; sink; cupboard space; a large mirror with light; a pull-out magnifying mirror on the wall and a radiator. The large studio area has a well-equipped kitchen featuring fridge with small freezer section, dishwasher, oven, induction hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is a dining table with 2 chairs as well as two comfortable armchairs in the window, enjoying stunning views out to sea over the lovely gardens. HAVEN 2 - There is a direct internal access door from Haven 2 to the pool and steam room. The separate shower room features large shower and cubicle, WC, sink, cupboard space, a large mirror with light, a pull-out magnifying mirror on the wall and a radiator. The kitchen has a fridge with small freezer section, a dishwasher, oven, induction hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. It has plenty of counter and storage space. The pocket doors slide across to separate the kitchen from the rest of the studio. The main room has the bed/beds with a bedside cabinet, a chest of 4 drawers, wardrobe; dining table with 2 chairs as well as a two seater sofa. The sofa can easily be positioned to enjoy stunning sea views over the lovely gardens or to watch TV. You can even enjoy sea views from the bed/beds! BOTH HAVENS - have a large TV on the wall with angle adjustment and DVD player. Wifi is available but is without doubt much slower than you are used to, it goes with an all-round slower pace of life around here! We are on the opposite side of the village to the supply box and as such our wifi connection is slow to the house. We have put separate routers with mobile connections in each Haven (and separate to our own) to make it the best it can be for our visitors. This has improved things but if you need a better connection you are best to use your own phone data (mobile hotspot ). There is a fold up dining table in each Haven that very comfortably seats 4 so you can eat together simply by taking the 2 dining chairs from one Haven to join the other. Parking is available free of charge for 2 cars and we have a pay-per-use electric vehicle charging point for the convenience of our guests. The garden has a number of lawned terraces all enjoying sea views and the bottom section has a nature area with a pond. There are two benches and 2 rope swings. Sun loungers, outside tables and chairs are also available for guest's use. Our indoor pool won silver in the SPATA (swimming pool and allied trades association) 2023 national awards! Both the pool and steam room are available daily for guest use - shared between guests and ourselves. The pool is heated to 29/30 degrees Centigrade, it’s 14.5 meters long, 2 lanes wide and 1.2 meters deep. We have a selection of rubber rings and pool games that you are welcome to enjoy too. Each Haven has a bookcase with a wide range of books and DVDs and we have a large selection of board games and jigsaws that you are welcome to borrow (just ask!) If you are interested in birds we get plenty of them here - regular visitors include blackbirds, robins, wrens, chaffinches, goldfinches, sparrows, pigeons and of course, seagulls. Occasional visitors include woodpeckers, long tailed tits, thrushes, fieldfares, partridges, buzzards and hawks. We often hear owls calling across the bay at night. Philip pheasant will let you know when he's around with a noisy greeting, Philippa is very quiet! There is very little light pollution, so on a clear night you can enjoy fabulous night skies with millions of stars! At full moon time the reflection of the light on the sea is stunning. Great place for weather watching! Guest access The entire front garden area is available to guests. Opening hours for the pool and steam room are 8am to 8pm daily. The walk downhill to the village takes me about 7 minutes, then 1 more down to the beach. Back up again takes me 15 minutes but there are lovely vies and some conveniently located benches if you want to take your time! Parking space for 2 cars. Other things to note Strictly guests only for pool and garden use and overnight. Our studios are smoke free and pet free. No infants or children under 12 years old. Although we love kids and pets this is a business decision so we hope you will understand when we decline requests for an exception. We ask guests to respect the neighbours and each other by keeping things quiet between 10pm and 8am!
