Deerfield Beach is a walkable destination with a popular public beach, volleyball net, fishing pier, shops, and restaurants. Bicycling from Hillsboro Mile to Deerfield Beach, Boca Raton, Highland Beach, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach on A1A covers nearly 20 miles each way and is one of the most popular and scenic biking routes in Florida. Bike rentals are available in Deerfield. Surfing Island Water Sports provides free surf lessons in Deerfield Beach every Saturday morning from 7 am to 9am. All levels and ages are welcome but you must know how to swim. Island Water Sports provides the equipment, but you can bring your own. A reservation is required.
