A perfect getaway for everyone who enjoys nature or need a break from their busy everyday life. Surrounded by coffee and banana plantations and a bambu forest, the farm is always full of life and birdsong. A place where you can sit down and relax, just enjoy life and the spectacular view that this farm has to offer. Have a coffee on our deck, with the best view of the mountains and valleys. The space El Colibri farm is every nature lovers dream. With a stunning view of the surrounding landscape, mountains and forests this farm is amazing and beautiful. Full of all different types of birds and wildlife. Wether you enjoy birdwatching, picking your own fruits direct from the trees or relaxing in a hammock with a hot cup of coffee, this is the place. Walkers, hikers, adventurers, there is something for everyone. We try to grow our own food, as much as we can, planting new fruits and vegetables every now and then. Maybe you would like to try gardening, harvesting vegetables and fruits. Planting a seed, something you never done before. I would personally love it if anyone wanted to join me in my garden. Maybe you can teach me something new. We both are fluent in English and Swedish and Felipe is also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. Communication should not be a problem. El Colibri consists of the Nordic house where we live, a house that we also rent and the bamboo house in the backyard (3 properties in total) The bambu house is private for those who book it, don't need to share it unless you want to. As mentioned, we live in the main building, this is our home. We also have two dogs and three cats that live here with us. They are all very friendly. El colibri is 3 km from the nearest town Quimbaya, where you can find everything that you need, grocery shopping, souvenirs, restaurants. It is also close to the popular touristic town Filandia, our favorite town around. Beautiful houses, great restaurants and lots of stores to explore for shopping. It takes about 20 min by car to get there from the farm, public transport is also available. Other popular places close by are Parque del Cafe, Panaca animal farm, Salento, Valle del Cocora and Botanical garden in Armenia. Our farm is a private property, not a hotel or a resort. It is away from the main road and very quiet, away from cars and traffic. It is accessible with public transport, in this area, to get to the farm, the public transport is Willys Jeeps. An experience in itself to go on one of those, sit on the seats or why not stand at the back of the car, holding on to the metal bars on the roof. Crazy or exciting? You decide.
