A Lost Pearl in Wine Country

Get away to Ohio's Premier Wine Country in the Grand River Valley to your private, wooded campsite, just minutes away from award winning wineries, and great adventures in hiking, canoeing and kayaking the Grand River (a US Designated Wild River), or relaxing at a beach on Lake Erie. In addition, we have wilderness trails around the property, and you can visit our adorable workers at Dizzy Does Goat Ranch too. The tent has a single queen sized bed. (Linens or heater available as add-on extras) The space Your camp site is in a small clearing in a beautiful wooded wilderness area so you will have plenty of privacy and can enjoy the wilderness. Parties and loud music are prohibited to avoid scaring away the deer or disturbing the distant neighbors. At night time, the woods are wonderfully peaceful with tree frogs and crickets chirping in the woods. If you hear rustling sounds in the woods, it is likely deer browsing around the area. On rare occasion coyotes may pass by the property in their wandering -- they are generally shy and will stay away from people and your campsite, but if in the area, you might hear them howling if a train horn blows in the region. In the past years there have been a couple of black bear sightings in the region, none at our property, and they are not residing here but just passing through. They too are shy of people and just looking for food, just be sure to keep any food locked in your vehicle when not directly in use - they would love to raid your picnic basket if they had the chance. Guest access NOTE LOCATION: The address number on the reservation may be incorrect. The camp location is: 4194 Dayton Rd. Madison OH 44057. It is a very private site with Safari style tent on platform in the woods behind the Lost Pearl. You can reach us by phone or text for detailed directions to your camp. The site is directly accessible by car and parking is approximately 30' from the tent. Please notify us at least 1 day prior to arrival of your estimated arrival time so that we can be everything is set when you arrive!
