Wagenbietjieshoek Farmhouse on large property

Relax & enjoy the peaceful surroundings of our unique farmhouse situated on 2000ha of land/working farm and surrounded by mountains. Enjoy the many hiking/mountain-biking trails, fishing in the lake, game viewing & the breathtaking sunsets over the lake and mountains. Sit by the crackling open fire in the covered boma and admire the sparkling night sky. *An extra chalet with 4beds, en-suite & kitchenette can be booked on request for an additional R550 per night. STRICTLY NO DOGS ALLOWED The space The house comfortably sleeps 8 people with 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two bedrooms have queen beds and ensuite bathrooms with bath and shower. Two bedrooms with 2 single beds each and a central bathroom with shower. The rooms’ windows all look out on the green surroundings and have mountain views. Bed linen, pillows and towels are included. Daily cleaning of the fire place (boma), washing of the dishes and making of the beds (please note that our cleaning lady will only be cleaning for a few hours a day and then leave again. The chalet sleeps 4 extra people. For an additional R550 per night the chalet can be added to the booking. The chalet has four single beds, ensuite and kitchenette. The house has a full kitchen with all the basic cooking appliances, cutlery, crockery and glasses. There is a big family dining table. The kitchen opens up to a covered patio with large dining table overlooking the beautifully maintained lawn and surroundings. Our favorite spot for a morning coffee. The cozy living room has a working fireplace TV with DSTV and board games to keep you entertained on those rainy days. We also have many wildlife and bird books for you to use, please be respectful and handle with care. Step outside on the expansive lawn to the covered boma with firepit and outdoor seating. Sit by the crackling fire and cook up a braai/BBQ (utensils provided). Make sure to step outside to admire the sparkling night sky. Guest access Enjoy full access to the house, gardens and property. There are two waterfalls that you can easily drive to with a 4 x 4 vehicle and explore. Enjoy a beautiful game drive where you can see game such as Zebra, Sable, Impala, Kudu, Springbuck, Swartwildebees, Waterbuck etc. During lamb season you will be able to see the little lambs. There are 3 fishing dams that you can use for fishing. Other things to note We recommend driving a 4x4 vehicle to and on the farm. Access to the Wagenbietjies property and the farm house is via a dirt road that can be bumpy and difficult to navigate with a small car especially in wet conditions. We have bags of fire wood available at R35 per bag - please notify us at least a day before arrival how many bags you need. STRICTLY NO DOGS ALLOWED
