Guest access Guests will have use of all areas of the cottage and property, except the back basement utility area, and one or 2 other locked storage spaces. Other things to note Capacity is listed at 12, however, if your group includes several children a larger number may be possible. Please contact us and ask. The cottage has central air conditioning, but it is not turned on unless the forecast has day time highs over 25 and overnight lows above 16, or if requested. Ground surfaces - this is a lakefront property and ground surfaces are uneven and can change. Wet conditions - rain, heavy dew or splashed water - can make surfaces slippery. Caution is advised. Walkways and driveways are gravel and require attention when walking. The hill closest to the cottage is steep and requires 4 wheel drive. Parking is available before this hill. Nature and wildlife - one of the pleasures of staying in a wooded lakeside location is you may see wildlife. We have seen turtles, deer, groundhogs and beaver activity. However, wildlife is attracted to food and a warm interior environment if it is cool outside. Please ensure doors are closed (screens are Ok), when not in use. Also that food is not left outside unattended. Water is provided via a well. The well fill rate is considered to be quick. However, unlike city water supply the volume is limited to what is in the well. We want to ensure you enjoy your vacation so it is advised that not all showers be run at the same time and that you time usage of dishwasher and washing machine at low water usage times. If the well is run dry, you will have to wait for it to refill (4-5 hours), and also wait until someone is available to reprime the system. You may be responsible for a the cost of a plumbers visit to reprime the system. Ontario has specific water safety, fishing and open fire regulations. It is your responsibility to be aware of these laws and adhere to them. Any fines or penalties that are attributed to the property due to failure to comply, will be charged to you.
