Nestled on a gated acreage between La Vernia and Adkins, our 2-bedroom guesthouse offers the perfect balance of rural peace and San Antonio convenience. While we are a private residence and not a commercial farm, our property is home to friendly horses and a happy flock of chickens, making it a unique retreat for families, military members (PCS/TDY), or midterm travelers. The space The Farm Experience We invite you to connect with the land during your stay: • Horses: Our horses are a central part of our life here. You are welcome to visit the fence line to say hello and pet them. For everyone’s safety, we ask that guests stay on the visitor side of the fencing and do not enter the pastures. • Fresh Eggs: As a thank you for staying with us, we love to share the bounty of our homestead! When the hens are in season and laying, a complimentary carton of farm-fresh eggs will be waiting for you to enjoy for breakfast (subject to availability). The Home This fully separate 900+ sq. ft. residence sits approximately 60 feet from the main home, ensuring your privacy while keeping us close by if you need anything. • Sleeping: Bedroom 1 features a comfortable King bed; Bedroom 2 offers a Queen bed. A pull-out sofa in the living room and a portable crib are available to accommodate up to 6 guests. • Accessibility: The bathroom is designed with a handicap-accessible shower and grab bars. • Amenities: Fully equipped kitchen, in-unit laundry, and high-speed Starlink internet—perfect for remote work or streaming. —————————————— Location Escape the San Antonio hustle while staying close to the action: • 20 minutes to Randolph AFB • 16 miles to Ft. Sam Houston • Easy access to downtown San Antonio, La Vernia, Floresville, and Adkins Guest access Guest Access You will have private parking for two vehicles right at your front door, with additional space available for trailers or RVs upon request. The property is secured by an automatic gate for your peace of mind. Other things to note We have pets and farm animals including but not limited to dogs, cats, horses, chickens, turkeys, pigs, etc. We have a livestock guardian dog whose job it is to protect our property and other animals from predators. She barks. She is a Great Pyrenees and that’s just what they do. Additional note: This is Texas. Texas is home to many different species of toxic plants, venomous snakes, and bugs like spiders and scorpions. We also have armadillo, coyote, raccoon, possum, lizards, geckos, salamanders, birds of prey, squirrels, etc etc etc and so on. Please be aware that you may encounter one or more of these creatures and although the host does their best to keep them away, sometimes mother nature has different ideas.
