Set in a tropical forest at Balcones de Majagual, Casa Francesca is a private villa that sleeps 4 people en suite and 2 on sofa bed. Just 12km north of SJDS, and a ten minute walk to the beach. Casa Francesca is a Nica style villa with doors that open back exposing a fantastic panoramic view over the Pacific Ocean and tropical forest. With eco friendly mesh windows throughout instead of aircon, the villa benefits from the offshore breeze that passes gently through all the rooms resulting in a comfortable room temperature all year round. At each end of the villa are 2 neem trees that significantly keep mosquitoes away. Consequently we never use mosquitoes nets in our home but have them available if you really feel you need them. Wild life is in abundance and as you can see from the photos howler monkeys are often to be seen in the trees right next to the house (they never leave the trees so don't worry about damage to your car!). At Casa Francesca we have wifi, tv, hifi, washing machine and tumble drier. Only a ten minute walk away to a beautiful beach that on busy days will have 2 or 3 people on. Walk another 5 minutes and you can reach Playa Maderas usually busy with surfers and about 4 restaurants and bars. A 15 minute drive to SJDS and here there are many grocery stores, bars, restaurants and night clubs. We have a meet and greet that really knows Casa Francesca and the surrounding area, 1 she's Nicaraguan and 2 she's my wife! If you need any help planning your holiday such as boat trips, horse riding, trips to beaches for surfing etc she can arrange it. Also, when you arrive in Nicaragua, whether at Managua airport or at Rivas from the border to Costa Rica, we can have a driver pick you up. Be aware that Casa Francesca is in a tropical forest. Don't be surprised if you see the occasional scorpion, big spider or even a snake. The important thing to remember is that you are not prey to any of these so if you don't interfere with them they won't harm you. Mandatory for accessing casa francesca in the Balcones Majagual estate is a 4x4 car. Parking space right outside the house. It's also a must to access certain beaches in the rainy season when you may need to drive along a river for a 20 yards or so. At Balcones de Majagual we have a team of house maids (they will clean and change sheets twice a week, more frequently if requested) gardeners security guards, pool cleaners and general managers take care of day to day things. The house has decking and steps without hand rails so we insist on no families with children under 7 years old.
