The Farmhouse

Welcome to the Farmhouse in rural Prospect, Virginia! This lovely home is located between Farmville and Appomattox, just a short drive off Highway 460. It is 15-20 minutes from Longwood University and Hampden Sydney College. The High Bridge trail runs parallel to the property, with an access point less than a mile away. Enjoy shopping in Downtown Farmville or visit historic Appomatttox. Come visit this family friendly, countryside farmhouse that's available for weekly or weekend rentals. The space Surround yourself with beautiful country views. Sit on our front porch and enjoy the peace and quiet! This home has a full kitchen, with all of the essentials to cook your own meals. There is table seating for 4 people. The bathroom has a shower only- no bathtub available. The first bedroom is off of the living room with a queen size bed and the second bedroom is through the hallway with a full/double size bed. The living room has a TV with Roku streaming device where you can access all of your favorite streaming apps. There is WiFi internet available. There is a washer and dryer to use as well as laundry detergent. We provide some coffee kcups, assorted tea, cream and sugar. We have a Keurig coffee maker and a teapot. New for Spring 2025: Outdoor fire pit! There are 4 chairs seated around a wood burning firepit. Please bring your own wood and use responsibly. We do not allow visitors to hunt or shoot on our property. Guest access You have full access to the house, except a locked closet for storage. You have access to the immediate front and back yards. Access to the fields way back behind the property is prohibited for safety reasons. Please do not access the grain bin, the pump house or any equipment under the lean-to. Other things to note One vehicle can park beside the back walkway on the right.
