THE CASITA Casita 2 includes: * 1 double bed in the main room downstairs * Loft with a bunk bed containing 2 twin beds * Private bathroom * Private mini fridge * A/C in the main downstairs room * Fans in the loft * Cable TV * Fresh linens and towels The loft is reached by stairs or a ladder. Guests using the loft must be comfortable climbing them. The A/C is located in the main room downstairs, while the loft uses fans and may be warmer. Casita 2’s private bathroom does not have hot water. A shared main-floor bathroom with a hot-water shower is available in the Main Beach House. PRIVATE AND SHARED AREAS Casita 2 is private for your registered group. The swimming pool, main kitchen, full-size refrigerator, BBQ, parking area, and other common spaces may be shared with registered guests staying in the property’s other units. Only a reservation for the entire property guarantees exclusive use of the full property. THE PROPERTY * Shared Beachfront Pool: Relax beside the pool just steps from the ocean. * Well-Equipped Main Kitchen: Guests may use the shared main-house kitchen, which includes a 6-burner stove, full-size refrigerator, cookware, dishes, and BBQ. * Private Mini Fridge: Casita 2 includes its own private mini fridge for drinks, snacks, and small food items. * Filtered Drinking Water: A 6-stage reverse-osmosis system provides filtered drinking water from the main kitchen tap. * High-Speed Wi-Fi: Suitable for remote work, streaming, and staying connected. * Cable TV: Casita 2 includes cable television for convenient, reliable viewing. * Free Parking: Free shared on-property parking is available. The property has space for up to 3 vehicles total. * Fully Paved Road Access: The roads to the property are fully paved and well maintained, making Playa Pochomil easier to reach than many other coastal destinations in Nicaragua. * Gated Property: The property is fully enclosed and gated. * On-Site Caretaker: Yerlin lives in private quarters on the property and assists with arrivals and property-related needs. * Security Cameras: Cameras are located in common areas for the protection of the property and guests. There are no cameras inside private casitas, bedrooms, bathrooms, or other private indoor areas. * Local Character: Playa Pochomil is a peaceful coastal community where you may see local animals along the beach and, occasionally, sea turtles nesting. PRIVATE CHEF SERVICE With at least one day’s advance notice, we can arrange for Bianca from Surfin Pelican to prepare a private breakfast, lunch, or dinner at The Beach House. Contact us in advance so we can confirm the chef’s availability, menu options, service time, and pricing for your group. Private-chef service is not included in the lodging rate. GUEST SUPPORT Yerlin, our on-site property caretaker, is available to help with arrival and property-related questions during your stay. You also have access to the property’s shared common areas, including the beachfront pool, main-house kitchen and full-size refrigerator, BBQ area, hammocks, beach loungers, parking area, and direct beach access. Casita 2 also includes a private mini fridge for your group. When other units are occupied, the common areas may be shared with other registered guests. Guests do not have access to the interiors of the other casitas, Dormitorio Principal, caretaker quarters, or private service areas. Only a reservation for the entire property guarantees exclusive use of the full property. Other things to note Playa Pochomil has a warm tropical climate throughout the year, generally ranging from the upper 70s to around 90°F. Conditions vary by season, but the ocean breeze and beachfront setting are a big part of what made us fall in love with Pochomil. Casita 2 has air conditioning in the main room downstairs. The upstairs loft has fans and may be warmer than the main room. The loft is reached by stairs or a ladder, so guests using it must be comfortable climbing them. Casita 2 includes a private mini fridge. Casita 2’s private bathroom does not have hot water. Registered guests may use the shared main-floor bathroom in the Main Beach House, which has a hot-water shower. We have installed a 6-stage reverse-osmosis system that provides filtered drinking water from the main kitchen tap. Security cameras are located in the property’s common areas for guest and property protection. There are no cameras inside private casitas, bedrooms, bathrooms, or other private indoor areas. Playa Pochomil is a peaceful and authentic Nicaraguan coastal community, not a commercial resort area. You may see local animals, fishing activity, and everyday village life along the beach. Guests who appreciate a relaxed oceanfront setting and genuine local character tend to love the area. Pets are welcome for an additional $20 per stay and must be included in the reservation. Smoking is not permitted inside the casita, bathroom, Main Beach House, or any other indoor area. Smoking is permitted outside only. Only registered guests included in the reservation may enter or stay at the property. Parties, events, day visitors, and additional unregistered visitors are not permitted with a Casita 2 reservation. Children and non-swimmers must be supervised by a responsible adult around the swimming pool and ocean.
