The Lodge is one of two unique cabins located at La Foret, Margaret River. Set on a magical 9 acre of bush on the banks of the Margaret River. Nestled in the river valley, a winter creek winding through a backdrop of native Peppermint and Marri bush. Palatial in size, but cosy; luxurious but with rustic charm; secluded but close to everything the stunning Margaret River region offers. A private sanctuary to recharge body, mind and soul and the perfect setting for your next romantic break. The space Accessed via antique French wrought iron gates and along a winding driveway through native bush and European inspired gardens, you arrive at The Lodge. A handsome and characterful standalone single storey timber home. Wrap around timber verandahs surround the inside giving many opportunities to enjoy the forest outlook. Up the entrance steps, and double doors open into a large living room with vaulted ceiling, oversized iron chandeliers, ornate antique gold mirrors, fireplace (electric), desk space, reading nook and leather sofas. To the right of the living room is the full kitchen, a beautiful room lined in Marri timber with marble flooring and access onto the BBQ and outdoor seating area. Directly across from the kitchen is the large dining room. Mirroring the kitchen’s rustic timber walls and marble flooring, it exudes character from every aspect with its antique dining table, stone statue and stunning rug. Past the end of the living room you will find the marble bathroom with access to a large stone outdoor bath and separate powder room. Through the dressing room you finally reach the impressive bedroom. Octagonal in shape the uniquely glamorous bedroom has a king size bed and smart TV. Three sets of doors finished off with linen curtains lead out onto the bedroom’s own elevated timber verandas with bush outlook. Gaze up, and up, past another oversized chandelier and into the incredible turreted ceiling space. The stuff of fairytales. Guest access All areas of the home are for you to enjoy. You are welcome to take your drinks outside and wander down to the River Garden area set along our private stretch of the Margaret River which flows gently past for most of the year (not in peak summer and early autumn). Other things to note The property is accessed off Caves Road via private gates. Wineries, beach and town are all within a ten minute drive.
