Wood Note Cottage

Our private cottage surrounded by its cottage care garden, its generational farmland, seasonal orange orchard and the nearby stream welcomes you to unwind from the hustle bustle of your busy lives with the serenity of nature's healing ambience .Within the golden glazed wooden frame cottage lit by the sunlight, the chirping of birds serenading your private strolls in the garden, the energizing farm walks to the streams can give you both a peaceful experience as well as a health boosting nudge. The space The house has 2 bedrooms in the top floor which have their respective attached bathrooms (king & queen size). Each room accommodates 2 people They have a common verandah overlooking the garden , the farm and the scenic hills afar. The dining room and one extra room is on the ground floor . The extra room( bed for 2) does not have a bathroom and needs to be shared with the guests upstairs as they belong to the same group. We do one group at a time . The cottage is about 5 min walk from my residence . As the name suggests it's presence amidst the seldom disturbed woods beckons wide variety of birds, fluttering nuanced beauty of the butterflies, myriad range of flora including some interesting medicinal plants, even some lucky sightings of the barking deer & peacocks. It could actually be a candy field for some nature loving aficionados such as the photographers, travelers, birdwatchers, wellness seekers , sporty hikers , off beat adventure lovers or those simply wanting to relax within a peaceful vicinity making a visual diary of simple living, stripped away from all extravaganza & let it calm one's nervous system pumped up through life's survival ways. Those living a metropolitan life can see the wonders of fruition plus vegetation and the food it supplies. As a house rule we do not allow parties held in the property as it goes against the property's ethos, ambience and surroundings .This is an important factor in the house rule which we will stress on. Tourists transiting to Kalimpong, Darjeeling or any of such places could explore our place as it's on the way specially if one wants to rest well after all the travelling clamor .Woodnote is within a private property and gives an exclusive access to guests only of the cottage, garden ,farm and its surroundings . We have exterior security cameras put around the house for vigilance purpose. Guest access Guests have an access to the entire cottage, garden,the farm & kitchen . As we are vegetarians I have a fooding arrangement which will cater to both pure vegetarians as well as non vegetarians. Kindly note that fooding is chargeable and I can provide the details if you wish to check during the the inquiry stage. Guests can have access to the seasonal fruits and vegetables such as oranges, peaches, avocados, bananas etc if available in the farms. Other things to note We ask of guests to inform us of any health or physical concerns that we should be aware of prior booking for safety reasons . The guest house is 5 mins walk from the main road near our residence area, if you choose to park your car in our residential area.
