Woodland Hideaway

The Woodland Hideaway consists of the geodesic dome, set within an entirely private copse of trees on the edge of an historic working farm. You have exclusive use of the copse. (Please ask re extra tents) The farm dates back to the 1400s and is enviably situated between Exmoor and the sea. We are within easy reach of medieval Dunster with its magnificent Castle, lively towns of Minehead and Watchet. The WSR Railway is a short walk away, as are the sea front, cafes and pub. The space The Woodland Hideaway is an enclosed space, set in amongst trees with a little stream running along the edge, The dome is in the Hideaway and is beautifully furnished with a king-size bed, tables and chairs, a place to hang your coats, fairy lights and candles. The do.e is ideal for a romantic getaway but additional camping beds can be placed in the dome for a family of 4 to stay, you would need to bring your own bedding for the additional beds. The space also lends itself to larger parties as there is plenty of room for additional tents. please contact us for details. There is a little outdoor kitchen space for you to make that early morning coffee or tea, and sit down on the decking watching the sun rise. There is a firepit to enjoy a warming campfire while the sun goes down. We have a separate seating area for you to enjoy should you wish to eat outside away from the dome. The facilities include a horse box shower which is quirky and deliberately rustic that has a sink attached for washing up (the sink is cold water only) and a beautifully clean composting toilet. These facilities are cleaned twice a day during your stay. Should you wish for privacy and do not require the facilities to be cleaned that often, please let us know and we will be happy to give you space :) We have also added an outdoor kitchenette in a modified horse box with a small fridge freezer. We really hope you enjoy your stay and come to love it as much as we do. Please note that the Hideaway is on the edge of a working farm and there will be occasional farm traffic, animal movements, and harvesting activities. For safety reasons guests are requested to keep away from farm machinery and exercise caution when on the farm premises outside the Hideaway itself. Guest access You have exclusive use of the hideaway. Access is via double gates which are lockable (key provided). There is a separate key for the geodesic dome itself. Other things to note Please note, the dome can sleep 4 only with the addition of camp beds which we will happily provide. Please check that this is acceptable before booking. Thank you.
