Hidden gem on Secret Coast

Description

The Old Smiddy is a traditional, stone-built dog-friendly cottage with its own enclosed garden, situated in an elevated position overlooking Loch Fyne. With stunning views and a quiet beach just a short walk away, this charming retreat offers the perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. The local villages of Kames and Tighnabruaich are a short drive away, and the local area boasts a host of eateries, walks and wildlife. The space Our cottage used to be a blacksmith's workshop back in the day when horses were the main form of transport in these parts. It fell into ruin and was restored and extended in the early 1990s to create a beautiful family home with central heating, bags of hot water and a wood burning stove for cosying down in the evenings. We've had the privilege of owning it for two years now and continue to improve it and add to its comfort. We love it, and we hope you will too. Guest access Guests have access to the full main house and garden, with room to park a car right outside. There is a separate studio downstairs that we sometimes use ourselves when we have guests staying, but there will never be other guests staying there during your stay.
