Charming farmhouse, beautiful location

The small farm Lommedalshaugen is idyllically located by Flakksvann and the salmon river Tovdalselva. Here there is a nice patio between the house and the barn, a large field for play, animals on the farms in the neighborhood, a bathing pool in Flakksvann and great trails in nature for children and adults. The place is suitable for a couple or for a family with children. Charming, nostalgic decor. NB: There is a steep staircase to the bedrooms on the 2nd floor, no railings. The house is rented out in the period 16.05.-31.08., minimum three nights. The space The house is an old farmhouse in simple Swiss style with typical room layout: hallway, kitchen, bathroom and two small living rooms on the 1st floor and hallway, a master bedroom with double bed attached to a small toilet/sink as well as a children's room on the 2nd floor. The children's room has three beds: a bunk bed and a pull-out bed for a small child. The house is located in a courtyard with an old barn and garage. The barn has been converted into a modern apartment, where the host lives. The patio for the host is on the front of the barn and hidden from the courtyard. There are also no windows to the courtyard from the barn. Guest access The whole house is available to the guests, apart from some storage rooms in the hallway upstairs and a small room next to the master bedroom. These are used for storage. Guests do not have access to the barn and garage. Other things to note Lommedalshaugen is located a quarter of an hour's drive from the coastal town of Lillesand, about 30 minutes' drive from the idyllic outer harbor Brekkestø, about 30 minutes' drive from the Zoo and about 40 minutes' drive from Kristiansand. The place is a good starting point for both experiencing the Sørland coast and the beautiful nature of Indre Agder. In our own municipality, Birkenes, there are several cozy farm cafes and farm sales. We also have our own small shop, Krambua, where we offer locally produced goods such as apple cider, jam, honey, award-winning cheeses and organic meat from highland cattle.
