Description
Our Wherryman's Way Sheperd's Hut is hand crafted, it has been built to a traditional size and style. It is in the beautiful village of Surlingham.There is a double bed and facilities for making tea and coffee, a toaster, microwave and fridge. Has its own toilet and handbasin with hot water and a separate shower room. It is close to the Ferry House pub and is a near by easy access for kayaks and paddle boards to Surlingham broad and the River Yare. The space The hut has been handcrafted by my husband and are perfect base to explore the area. Within a few minutes walk you can enjoy a drink and meal by the River Yare at The Ferry House public house. We are also right on the Wherryman's Way foot path, while also being close to an RSPB site which is ideal for bird watchers. Just 2 miles down the the road is Wheatfen nature reserve, a fen land area and woodland of natural beauty. There are two pubs in the locality and a small village store. Norwich is within easy reach by car. Guest access The hut is located within our extended garden and you have access via the lane. Other things to note Ferry House pub is open all day for meals from 11am till 9pm, breakfast can be ordered the day before if needed early in the morning i.e. 9 am onwards ,it is only a short walk from us, no need for a car. A second pub Coldham Hall is located around the village. There is a farm shop, which sells its own Rape seed oil made on sight, and home grown meat as well as a cafe next door selling homemade cakes, pastries and coffee. Please note we are in weak area for phone signals. No Wi Fi as yet in huts. .
