Description
This harbour-side cottage dating back to the late 19th century is a quirky mix of old and new. Formerly this was the stable outbuilding to the once ‘Railway Inn’ public house (now The Swan Inn) in the centre of this idyllic fishing village. The cottage is detached and is a stone’s throw from the local harbour on the Exe estuary, Lympstone railway station, a local convenience store, a cafe and an art gallery. The space The cottage looks out onto Lympstone Harbour. The house is arranged over 2 floors. The front door enters into a small entrance hall with a door leading to the lounge. There are two comfortable sofas, side tables, dresser and a 70 inch TV on the wall. This is a great space to relax with the family. Through the bay window you can see the harbour and views across Exe estuary. There is a separate modern kitchen / diner. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer. There is also a gas hob, an electric fan oven and a Nespresso Coffee pod machine. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The Master Bedroom has an en-suite shower room. There is a double bed, bedside tables, fitted wardrobes, and a 2 seater sofa. French doors lead to a small Juliet balcony with beautiful views across Lympstone Harbour and Exe estuary. The second bedroom has a day bed with a trundle bed underneath. This can be configured as a single room a twin room or a double if needed. There is a bedside table and a chest of drawers. The family bathroom consists of a toilet, large sink and a relaxing bath. Guest access Guests have use of the whole house, apart from the cupboard under the stairs which remains locked. Other things to note You can drive down to the cottage to drop off luggage but there is no allocated parking. There is a council run car park at ‘Underhill’ (EX8 5HH) in the village, which is a 5 minute walk from the house. There is a first come, first serve free space car park at the train station and there is limited street parking. If you park on the street, be sure to understand the restrictions.
