Shepherd's Hut in Brecon Beacons

Escape to the Bannau Brychieniog / Brecon Beacons National Park and stay in our cosy shepherd's hut. The 'Bee Hive' hut is close to the village of Penderyn and next to Beili Helyg Farm. The hut has a double bed, kitchen & dining area with folding table, fridge & ice box, combi microwave oven, double induction hob and Belfast sink. There is a shower room with flushing toilet. Below the master bed is an alcove with a futon for a child to sleep comfortably. Decking, fire pit, BBQ, WiFi & TV. The space This listing is for the shepherd's hut known as 'The Bee Hive Hut' that is situated in a small meadow adjacent to the farmhouse of Beili Helyg. Within the meadow is a 2 person bell tent (known as 'The Honey Pot') that can be rented with the hut on a separate listing. We are happy to welcome guests with one dog, providing they are well behaved and not too large. Dogs cannot be left to roam unsupervised off the lead as we have several animals and would like to avoid any conflict. There is a small pet charge on booking. The Bee Hive Hut has a double bed with single bed below, suitable for a child. There is a compact shower room with flushing WC, shower and basin. The hut is heated with an electric stove and convection heater. There is a small but well equipped kitchen with double induction hob, combi microwave oven, fridge with ice box and Belfast sink. There is a folding breakfast bar/dining table. There is free WiFi (approx. 80-100mbps) and a smart TV. Outside is a decking area with dining table and chairs. There is an extending awning that provides rain cover / shade over the table area. There is a circular patio area in the centre of the meadow with raised metal fire pit, with rustic stools and logs to sit around. There is a designated parking space for the hut on the driveway, only about 15 meters away. In dry weather you could pull right up to the hut through the gate. The hut is not remote, and is adjacent to the farm house, so benefits from good wifi and mains pressure hot water. While you will be staying out in the wilds of the Brecon Beacons, you will not be roughing it! Guest access The Bee Hive Hut is accessed from the driveway of Beili Helyg farmhouse. There is a designated parking space. There is a key box on the gate post into the hut's meadow. You will have use of the Bee Hive Hut and the glamping meadow with decking area, patio and fire pit. You will not have access to the bell tent. If you would like to book the bell tent as well, please go to our other listing that enables booking of the whole site, if available. If you do book the hut on its own, the bell tent will not be available to be rented separately by other guests - you will have the whole area to yourselves. Other things to note We welcome guests with one well behaved dog, as long as they are not too large as space in the hut is limited. There is a small pet charge on booking.
